Chapter 02:

I NEVER thought that I'll be the one who's building agreements. I mean... I can't even agree to my friends to join them in their club, the Trevians.

"I agree, but lady, we just met. Gain my trust first," he gently holds my chin.

But I just rolled my eyes at him. "Yeah," I replied. Simply because I'm not a liar to people who does nothing at me.

Pero, that doesn't change the fact that me and this man are in the same place we don't like.

Having favors might be my most hated thing, but now, i think I have no choice but to do so. I should just look to the brighter side of having favors, which is using the things we know to benefit each other. A trade.

"Then how?" He asked.

"You asked about senior highschool, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, what about it?"

"I think you've past time being in here. And even I don't have legit evidences, I can say that you are the dumb boy who went missing 5 years ago," I said as I sat on my mattress.

"5 years? You mean, I've been here for five years?" He asked me with his brows arched.

"My friends always yaps about the history and happenings in our school. I don't really know what they are doing pero alam ko marami rin silang alam sa paaralang 'to base sa mga k'wento nila. And one of their stories is about a boy who disappeared five years ago in the door to Treveloré despite the door being restricted at post war era," I sighed. "And I assumed that you were that because our school often change uniforms as long as they please to, we even had a museum inside with all of it in different times as the school stood. And now, you are wearing a uniform before the year, the school changed its style."

"This is mad," he commented while gripping his hair with one hand.

"It is," I'm here too afterall. "That's why we need to get out, dumb boy," I said.

"I know that for a long time, parrot. So, stop calling me 'dumb'," he rolled his eyes.

He's sassy.

"I'm not a parrot, I'm just stating a fact, kase ba't ka pumunta dito? Alam mo namang restricted 'yung pinto, tapos..." hindi ko natuloy ang sasabihin ko nang maramdaman ko amg masama niyang tingin.

"I didn't go here by myself," he said defensively which made me think that it was impossible.

"But in the CCTV footage, you look like you got here by yourself," I said. "What happened to you before you got here?" I asked.

The only thing that I know is that, this is not the place I belong too, and that kailangan kong makaalis dito," he replied vaguely.

"Nasabi mo nga kanina, meaning you're really finding a way out since you got here. Now, I fear that I can't get out here too..." I sighed out of frustration.

"Say the one, who said that she'll find a way out before the trade," he chuckled.

Motto ko pa naman is always to be true towards my words.

"Sorry," I said with a grim face. "Anyways, since you've been finding your way out back then. Then I should adapt the things to do here, to find clues, or more likely new clues. So tell me what things you have tried, and we'll find another things to do beside that," I added.
