The night gleamed ,
As she took a step forward .
Being the main character for the first time ,
Sometimes she felt like an outsider .
Who is meant to be off the pedestal ,
Never on the front page ,
Never the star of the show ,
Never the one who will steal hearts ,
Or be the life of the party ,
But tonight ;
She was the star ,
She was the main charachter ,
For a day .
She felt like the world was hers
And she was the queen .
Not somebody on the sideline ,
She was the one who stood bright .
And her light glowed all over the world,
