The story is taking place in season 11
Derek had died during the shooting in the s6 final.
Mer didn't have a miscarriage that episode but had the baby and named him Christopher. Zola is there too.
Meredith met Nick in the hospital she and the other doctors that were on the plane crash went to when they were found.
Nick comes with them to Grey Sloan and started to work there.
