Nick had been with Meredith the past few weeks but had to go back to work now.
Meredith felt miserable now that he was gone. All she wanted was being with him, he made her forget her pain and she felt save when she was in his arms.
When she felt his breathing in her hair she could relax and didn't have to think about her miscarriage or her eyesight. She wasn't panicked or depressed when he held her close.
But he wasn't there. He was working, and she was alone, not able to do anything.
The only thing she could was lay in bed and cry. When she was with the kids she had to suck it up. But when she was alone she grieved even more. And what was gonna happen to her? Was she gonna stay blind forever? Amy couldn't tell her and she knew that she wasn't lying there was hope, but being hopeful was really hard for her.

Meredith couldn't sleep or eat, she didn't have the energy to do anything today. She didn't even get out of bed in the morning. The kids where bought to school by Nick, she felt bad about not being there for the kids, but she couldn't she didn't have the energy to get out of bed, to act as if she was fine. She simply couldn't. So Nick was the one taking care of them. He was good with the kids and they loved him, Meredith was happy about that.

But now she was all alone. Cause Nick had gone back to work.
He had brought her some breakfast in bed but she hadn't touched it. She wasn't hungry at all. It was around 1 p.m. and Nick wouldn't be home until 5. What was she supposed to do all those hours.
Before she could think about it the doorbell rang.
Who could this possibility be? She thought.
She had to go downstairs by herself cause the bell kept ringing. But Meredith had never gone up and down the stairs by herself. Normally Nick gave her an arm. Now she had to do it herself.
She got out of bed and carefully walked to the stairs. Mer took a deep breath and slowly took a few steps down but then it went wrong. She misstepped and fell. " Meredith are you okay?" She heard someone say. Meredith wasn't really hurt and after a few seconds she stood up and tried to find her way to the front door.

"Hey Meredith!" Cristina exclaimed. " Cristina is that you?" " Of course it's me, are you blind or something?!" She she bowed her head, " actually I am..." She almost wispered. " Meredith, what, what do you mean?" " Ahm, come in first, I tell you then okay?" Cristina came in and they went to the kitchen. " If you want something to drink,  you know where to find it." Mer said sitting down at the table. Cristina got them something to drink and then they started talking.
