CHAPTER 13: None of Your Concern

2 weeks later
Lily's POV

It is break time and everyone were seated in the cafeteria, me, the girls and the guys are seated at our table near the huge window. The cafeteria is full of students laughing,talking,and munching on their food.

While at my table nobody was saying anything. It has been two weeks since I had that incident with Raven and still Alex has not said anything.

Whenever I try to bring it up, he shuts me down and tell me to stick my head in a book, which he says in a very rude way.

"Okay can we address the elephant in the room?" Selina spoke up first.

"Yeah, the both of you haven't spoken to each other and the tension is getting a little too much" Rose said while referring to Alex and I.

"There is nothing to talk about, I..."

"Oh no, there is so much to too talk about"Alex was cut mid-sentence by me "Why didn't you tell us you were friends with the most notorious princess in school?" I asked angrily.

"Kyle knows and because I don't believe I have to explain my activities to you" Alex said calmly.

"I didn't say you have to explain your activities to me, it's just that since the whole month we arrived at the academy,she has been causing mayhem everywhere" I said.

"I can hang out with anyone I want,I don't give a fig about your opinion" Alex said while gritting his teeth a little.

"Well I'm your friend and I don't allow people to follow the wrong crowd" I shouted, still not sure what was wrong with him.

I am pretty sure the entire cafeteria body was looking at us but I didn't care.

Alex looked at me and smiled a little but it was so faint that you will almost miss it, but then his expression went back to normal.

"I never knew when we came to that sort of agreement,Kyle and I are best friends,Rose and Selina are acquaintances,Raven is none of your concern and you are an annoying white-haired girl".

There was a complete silence,it lasted for a few seconds before it vanished.

"You know I'm not that type to be nosy, but I can be very curious. I have no idea why you dislike me like this even though I'm just trying to help. But in all I'm sorry" I said.

"I'm leaving" Alex stood up and was walking out of the cafeteria.

"Dude where are you going?You haven't finished your lunch" shouted
Kyle to the already gone Alex.

"See Lily, don't mind Alex,he didn't really mean what he said" Kyle comforted me.

"But why is he always like that though,angry" Rose asked Kyle.
He would answer or do anything she asks, at least they were cool and free with each other. Selina was cool with everyone, maybe it was because of her witty and bold attitude.

"He's different" that's all he said. I wanted to ask how,but decided to keep shut,I already angered Alex, I didn't want to add more salt to my wounds. I don't want to cross my boundaries.

Ring!!! Ring!!!
"We have calculus now" I said.

"Why do we even need to learn that,when we should be practicing more on our unique skills" Kyle groaned.

"Well we don't want a prince with a swords,but no brains" Selina said.

"Burn" Rose and I said while laughing.

"But I'm not a prince"said Kyle while making a sad face.

"Does it look like I care"
We all left the the cafeteria and headed to our classes, only rose had a different class from ours which was potion mixing class.

Third POV

"Hurry up,unless you want to be late"said a blonde girl, she did not look older than 18 yrs and was dressed in a purple attire with knee high boots and a black hoodie on her head.

"How about you try looking"A large beast with horns and sharp teeth said.

"How about your head on a plate" the girl threatened. The beast immediately went back to searching the place.

"Ughhh why would someone hide something here, it's so dusty"

"Well people hide things in places like this to stay hidden"the beast said in a deep voice, as a matter of fact.

"I don't know if it's that you don't value your limbs or that you just don't have a control switch for that mouth of yours" The blonde girl picked up a sword and said.

The beast swallowed, he knew what she could do,born from the heart of death and trained by great powers, you'll have to think twice before messing with her.

"Wonderful, a locator powder, this will make our work much faster" said the girl.

They were at an underground ruins in the coast of the Alkaline oceans. Here ancient beings,gods and seers kept powerful magical implements and objects. It is not known to many and was abandoned when the ancient beings passed on to the heavens.

But that doesn't mean the journey to get here was easy.

The girl poured some of the locator powder her palms and started reciting an incantation. She began floating and her eyes turned dark purple and a whirlwind started formed around her

All the items in the ruins were floating and spinning about. The beast had to stand his ground,so as not to be thrown to the wall.

After she stopped,the items in the room fell to the ground and her eyes changed to normal. Then there it was,the item they had been searching high and low for.

The beast picked up the item from the floor and gave it to the girl.

"Master will be more than pleased"in her hands was a map, a map that could change everything for the Neverelms.

The suspense is killing you I know, I will post another chapter this week in celebration of Nigeria's Independence.
