CHAPTER 16 : Be Like You

"Can anyone tell me why I was dragged here against my wish." Alex said angrily.

"Chill out Mr Grouchy pants." said Selina with a sigh.

"I have a biology class, right after now, so I can't be wasting my time."

"Oh for crying out loud, shut up!, already." Selina yelled at him. She wasn't one to usually lose her temper but when she did, the entire room maintained decorum. Now that she had shut Alex from his blabbering, she cleared her throat and continued.

"Now I had this impromptu meeting, because, I don't understand the tension going on between you and Lily but it needs to end now." Selina said with authority.

"Selina, honestly there is no need for this meeting." I told her.

"Yes,there is. Now I'm not the biggest fan of cliche best friend groups and all. But we give have been together since the beginning of this school year. We felt a connection that brought us together, we ate together, sat together, talked about our goals and life's perspective to each other. So it will be very silly, if we fell apart because of a matter like this, that I can't even understand."

It's true, since the very first day we stepped foot into the Academy. Me, Rose, Selina, Alex and Kyle, hanged out almost all the time. We ate lunch at our usual table, with other people sometimes, attended almost all our classes together, hanged out for hours after school while listening to Kyle tell us stories about some of the most embarrassing moments in his life. It would really be sad, if I and Alex's petty misunderstanding would split everyone apart.

"Come on bro, the girls are the coolest and nicest girls around, so let's just settle this issue already." Kyle tried to reason with Alex.

I turned towards Kyles direction and beside him I saw Rose blushing slightly from his little comment, about us being very cool and nice. I internally smiled at her. This girl was hopeless.

"So now, we are going to address this situation head on WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?" Selina asked.

Alex rolled his eyes at her,"The problem is that Lily doesn't like to mind her business and questions my relationship with people."

"But she already freaking apologized for that, so what else do you want her to do?. Lick the dirt off your shoes before you mend up with her." Selina sounded like she was fixing the relationship between two broken couples and her words were so not Lady like Approved, like my governess always said. I'm sure she would faint if she ever heard Selina speaking like this.

"I..I don't, know." Alex stammered and scratched the back of his head.

"You don't know what?, now quit being an entitled prince and apologize for being a jerk to Lily." Selina instructed him to and he looked at me. I'm not sure if i saw clearly but his eyes held this sort of sorry and remorseful look. Also I told the girls about the way he has been treating me at the club, so I guess that's why she's super angry right now.

"I'm sorry Lily, I don't know why I acted that way towards you." He apologized. "Maybe because you are a dumbhead." Selina murmured under her breath.

She's really mad at him, isn't she?. Alex ignored Selina and continued "And I promise to behave more respectable and less of a jerk to you." He added.

I took a deep breath. Today has been a rollercoaster of apologies and sorries. I guess I could make room for one more apology. Besides life is too short to keep grudges and not forgive someone.

"It's okay, I guess. I think we somehow started off on the wrong foot. How about we start again and work together on our task for the bake sale coming up."
