Chapter 16

Moon

His warm arms were wrapped around my body, protecting and calming me. My breathing was out of control as I tried to erase what I've seen from my mind. God, that felt so real... I really thought I'd lost him for a moment. He's going to think that I'm completely crazy for calling him so late at night. Carefully and fondly, Calum took my face in between his hands, wiping away my tears, he was so worried and that made me feel terrible.

-What happened? Are you hurt? Anything?

-No, it's not that, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have called you, I'm sorry. -I barely remember how I even called him, when I woke up, I had already my phone in my hands.

-Wanna go inside so you can explain?

-It's stupid, seriously, it was a mistake calling you, I was having a really bad panic attack and... -Calum interrupted me.

-Moon, let's talk, I don't care it was stupid, you needed me and here I am. I won't leave now knowing you're not okay. -His words went directly to my heart, fuck, this guy was destroying me slowly.

I sighed, nodded and took his hand so we could go to the living room. Both of us sat on the couch and we just looked at each other, I was wondering how to explain everything without him thinking that I'm on drugs again.

-Just let me hear what your little pink head is thinking. -He said with a side smile, what made me smile too.

-I'm thinking that you're gonna think that I'm an idiot.

-Try me.

-Since I was a kid, I have sleep disorders and from time to time I have really bad nightmares episodes... That's what happened tonight and I dreamed that something pretty bad happened to you and I needed to make sure you're okay because it felt so real and that's it. You can laugh now.

-What would I laugh? That's awful! I'm so sorry you have to go through that. -He said, surrounding my shoulders with his arm and making me get closer to him. Why was he so perfect? God, stop it.

-I'm really sorry for waking you up, it's four in the morning, I should've waited.

-And keep all that anxiety inside you thinking if I was okay or not? No way! I rather be here with you than sleeping.

-You're so good to be true, Calum... -I whispered.

-I just care about you. I told you already, you're important to me. -I swear I'm going to do something stupid today.

-You're important to me, too... If it wasn't for you...

-Don't think about it, okay? -I nodded and he kissed my forehead, fondly. I was going to melt away because of his cuteness-. Whatever was gonna happen that day if I wouldn't have come, it's not something we should worry about.

-You're right... Thank you for being always here when I need you...

-There's nothing to thank me for, you helped me a lot too. -I smiled like silly when he said that.

-Then we are in peace.

-We are about being thankful, but not about the photos.

-A picture of you at 4am in a random house with a girl could make the fans go crazy. -I said, rogue.

-Don't you dare.

-Or what? -I challenged him.

-Do you like tickles? -He said, getting closer to me, with a mischievous smile.

-No, no, no. Calum, don't please! -Before I could even finish the sentence, his hands were already all over my body making me laugh.

I managed to get up from the couch and I tried to run to the kitchen, where he didn't waste time to come too. Calum chased me all around the dining room and kitchen, we were laughing so much as he tried to catch me and I was doing my best to scape from him. Eventually, he got me and started tickling me, I was so busy trying to make him stop, that I didn't realize that he'd put me against the counter and that our bodies were almost glued together.
