22. Know thy Enemy

Later morning, Veronica and Mattheo drove out to the middle of the woods, where they were keeping Jackson. Veronica spent the entire car ride, filling Mattheo in on all of the supernatural stuff he had missed that year, with how Scott became a werewolf to how Jackson became a Kanima.

Veronica and Mattheo got out of the car and walked over to the boys. “Is he awake yet?”

Stiles looked away from the girl and Scott shook his head. “Stiles! McCall! Veronica! I'm going to kill you!” They heard Jackson yell.

    “Yeah.. I say otherwise Scott.” Mattheo said.

    “Okay well I brought him food. It's in my car, I'll go get it.” Veronica said going to turn around.

    “I'll get it.” Stiles's arm brushed against hers harshly which made Everyone give him a weird look.

    “Okay, what's going on between you two?” Scott asked her.

    “Well I have no idea why he's pissed at me, but I'm mad at him for bringing me back from the dead and then not telling me.” Veronica spoke quickly.

    “He brought you back from the dead? When? How?” Scott looked the girl up and down for any clue that she was actually a zombie standing infront of him.

    “When Peter attacked me. He went to Selena and they linked my life to Stiles's life tap they could bring me back. Abuelita, Selena, Stiles and Argent.” She's said.

    “Argent?!”

    “Scott!” Veronica said loudly, not wanting to answer any questions on the matter.

    “Sorry..” He said. They watched Stiles walked into the car that was holding Jackson. “Did he just say he's killing people to death?”

    “It's Stiles. Are you surprised?” Veronica said. “You guys don't think Jackson's parents are gonna come looking for him?” She asked them. 

Scott shook his head,“Nope. We sent them a text. 'Stayed at a friend's house, won't be home until later. Love you.'”

Veronica furrowed her brows,“So nows probably a good time to tell you.. Jackson hasn't exactly told his parents I love you.” Scott widened his eyes,“But you know, it's probably fine. I mean, they might actually appreciate it and be happy that he said I love you..” She said. Scott nodded. “I'll take you to school, Mattheo's staying here with Stiles.”

Veronica walked into her class and sat down next to Allison. “Scott. Veronica.”

The two teens went to turn around to face Allison who was whispering their names, but stopped when they heard heels clicking,“I'm afraid your teacher was feeling ill today and had to leave early.” Veronica's mouth dropped in shock. “So, unfortunately, you're stuck with me as a substitute.” Victoria Argent said. Scott, Allison and Veronica were all confused. “Can anyone catch me up to speed on where we are? Mr. McCall how about you?”

Scott pulled out his folder and cleared his throat as Allison leaned over. “Where's Jackson?” She whispered.

    “With Stiles and Mattheo. Why?” Veronica whispered back.

    “Gerard said that the police and his parents called. They know Jackson is missing.” Veronica looked over at Allison, her eyes were wide.

    “We have to tell them.”

Allison nodded in agreement. “We'll go after class.” she said. Veronica nodded.

After class, Allison and Veronica got into her car and drove out to a random spot in the woods. Stiles was on Jackson's phone texting. Veronica and Allison quietly ran over to him. Stiles turned away and Veronica touched his arm making him jump back in fear. “Oh! My God.” he said calming down after seeing the two girls.
