23. Restraining Order

Veronica immediately excused herself and went into the garage to call Stiles and Allison. “If Jackson doesn't know what he's doing, then he probably doesn't know that someone's controlling him.” Allison said after Veronica explained everything.

    “Or he doesn't remember.” Scott said.

    “What if it's the same kind of things that happened with Lydia when she took off from the hospital?” Stiles.

    “A Fugue state?” Veronica suggested,“He'd have to forget everything. The murder.”

    “Getting rid of the blood.” Allison said.

    “But he had help with one thing though, the video.” Stiles said.

    “Maybe someone else helped him forget that.” Scott said. “Whosever controlling him.”

    “Are you sure Jackson has no clue about any of this?” Allison asked.

    “He thinks he's still becoming a werewolf and that being with Lydia somehow delayed the whole thing.” Veronica said.

    “So do we try to convince him he's not?” Allison asked.

    “If it helps us. Find out who's controlling him, then yeah.” Scott said.

    “Do you think he'll talk to us after what we did?” Allison questioned again.

    “Yeah, it's us. He'll talk to us, right?” Stiles said looking up at thought.

    “Look I'm coming up to the police station.” Veronica said.

    “Yeah that's probably a good idea. My dad was just getting ready to call you.” Stiles said before hanging up.

Veronica went to the police station after being picked up by Melissa, who looked furious. They walked into a room, the two boys looked over at their friend after he sat down. “Congratulations Veronica. You are the only person who's not having restraining order on them against them.” Stiles looked at his dad in shock.

    “Wait.. why am I here?” she asked.

    “Because Jackson told us that you were the one who found him and let him go. Mr. Whittemore wanted to thank you. Give you a reward.” The Sheriff said,“as for the two of you. You will not go within 50 feet of Jackson Whittemore. You will not speak to him. You will not approach him. You will not assault or harass him physically or psychologically.” Veronica's mouth dropped and she looked over at Melissa, she was extremely disappointed.

Stiles looked around at everyone in the room. Veronica shook her head subtly but Stiles turned back to his dad,“What about school?”

    “You can attend classes while attempting to maintain a 50 foot distance.” Noah said.

    “Okay, what if we both have to use the bathroom at the same time and there's only two stalls available.” All of the adults in the room crossed their arms exasperatedly as Veronica hid her face in her hands while shaking her head. But Stiles didn't stop there “And they're only right next to each other?” Stiles looked at his death who was giving him the death stare,“I'll just hold it.” he said.

    “Yeah.” Veronica said under her breath.

Veronica walked out of the room as soon as she could and went into the hallway. Selena followed her. “I know he's lying, Veronica.” She said to him. “You knew the entire day. Didn't you?”

    “I have no idea what you're talking about. I was at school all day. And then I found him at night.” The lie was handed to her so she figured she was going to run with it.
