All of the students walked into detention. Veronica sat down with Allison, Jackson, she assumed his name was Matt.

“We can't have detention together. I have a restraining order against these tools.”

“All these tools?” Mr. Clarke asked in disbelief.

“No, just us tools.” Stiles said as he pointed to him and Scott.

“Fine, you two, over there.” he pointed to a different desk. That made Erica smirk at Mattheo who's eyes had widened. Jackson was in disbelief and Veronica banged her bandaged head against the desk several times.

“Stop doing that before you give yourself a concussion.” Allison said, putting her hand under so Veronica couldn't hit the desk.

“If I do get concussed I'll have a reason to sue.” She glared at Jackson.

    “Shut up.”

Veronica whispered yelled at him. “You threw me across the room.”

“Kanima?” Matt had whispered which made Veronica and Allison look at him.

Veronica looked down at a text message Stiles had sent her.

Chandler Stilinski-

Hey what if it's Matt.

Veronica looked up at him, he was looking at her. She then looked at Matt who was also looking at her.

Jackson began to groan. “You okay?” Matt asked him.

“I have to go to the bathroom." Jackson said, he grabbed his bag.

“Are you alright?” Mr. Clarke asked him. “You don't look so good.”

“I just need some water.” Jackson said.

Mr Clarke stood up,“Nobody leaves their seats.”

Stiles and Scott waited a few seconds before going over to Erica and Mattheo's table. A few seconds later.

“Scott McCall please report to the principal's office.” Veronica looked over at him. Everyone did.

“That's why you don't destory the locker rooms.”

“What I walked in on was very suggestive okay.” Scott said. Veronica smiled. He was like a dog. A very protective dog.

Scott left, and not soon after, Jackson walked into the room silently. He sat down silently. Veronica watched as Mr. Clarke zipped up his bag and he smiled at his students who immediately began to get up. He laughed. “Oh, no, I'm sorry.  Uh yes, I'm leaving, but none of you are. you may go when you're done reshelving.” Veronica let out an aggravated breath. “Enjoy the rest of your evening.”

Scott, Stiles, Veronica and Allison were listening to Stiles and Mattheo explain what happened to Jackson parents. “It means he was born after his mom died by C-section. They had to pull him out of her dead body.”

“So was it an accident or not?” Allison asked.

“Word all over the report is inconclusive.” Mattheo said.

“Wait, his parents could've been murdered?”

“If they were then it falls in line with the Kanima myth. You know. Seeks out and kills the murderers.” Stiles said.

Veronica shook her head,“But for Jackson, or the person controlling him?”

Stiles shrugged. “We have to talk to him.” Scott said. “We have to tell him.”

“He's not gonna li-” Allison was cut off by Mattheo and Scott leaving the aisle.

There was a book on the floor. The two boys got closer. They looked down on the floor and Matt had been paralyzed by Jackson. Jackson had jumped over the aisles, knocking down books.

Scott and Mattheo fell, Scott's eyes glowed yellow.“Erica!” Mattheo called out.

Jackson had jumped over the aisle Veronica, Allison and Stiles as in. In a panic, the light bulbs burst and books flew. Veronica had grabbed them both and pushed them to the floor. She was over both of them protectively. “Your eyes.” Allison said in shock. Veronica had seen in the reflection of Stiles's eyes that her eyes were also glowing.

Mattheo had ran across the library over to Erica just as Scott was pushed into a book cart. He stood infront of his friends protectively. His hand infront of Allison. Veronica was infront of Stiles, half of her body was turned so she could have both of her hands on his shoulders. They watched as Jackson wrote on the board with chalk. The sight terrified Veronica.

Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you.

Veronica had actually let out a growl which had startled Scott. She threw herself across the room, but Jackson had already jumped out of the window.

They walked out of the aisle and Stiles looked back at Mattheo who's as holding a seizing Erica. “Hey, hey hey hey.”

Mattheo was holding her head close to his chest. “I think she's having a seizure.”

Veronica and Allison ran to Matt as Scott ran to Erica. “He's alive.” Veronica sounded out.

“We have to get her to a hospital.” Mattheo said.

“Derek.” Erica said, her entire body was convulsing in his arms. “I need Derek.”

“Okay, when we get her to the hospital.”

“To Derek.” She said again. “To Derek.”

“Go.” Allison said, looking between Veronica and Scott.

Scott huried over the aisle they were in. “I'm staying here with you.”

“They can't take her alone not like this. And Matt, I've gotta call an ambulance for him. Just go.” Allison said.

“This doesn't feel right.” Scott said.

    “It's okay.”

“No. It's, no, it's not right.”

“Scott!” Mattheo called out frustratedly. He was beginning to struggle to keep ahold of Erica.

“Scott go. Go!” Allison said to him.

Scott kissed her forehead before rushing over and taking Erica from Mattheo. They left the library and left Allison there with Matt.

Veronica rushed the boys and Erica to the abandoned subway train that Derek was staying at. “Pull her up.” Derek said.

“Is she dying?” Mattheo asked as he had her up.

“She might, I, which is why this is gonna hurt.” Derek said before breaking her arm.

Erica began screaming,“You broke her arm!” He said in shock.

“It'll trigger the healing process.” he said. He let out a sigh,“I still gotta get the venom out. This is where it's really gonna hurt.” he squeezed his claws into her arm and she screamed again. Mattheo fell to the floor and stroked her hair. Veronica turned away from the sight and hid her face in Stiles's arm, the boy instinctively wrapped his arms around her.

“Mattheo.” Erica whispered. “You make a good batman.”

“You're an even better Catwoman.” he said, he gave her a soft smile. He wiped a tear off of her face. But it was quickly replaced with other one, because he was the one that crying. Not her.

Veronica had left the subway train abruptly. She had pulled the bandage off of her head and walked up the stairs to leave.

“Veronica!” Derek called out. She turned around. “Where are you going?”

“Home. Somewhere.” She said looking around.

“Veronica, we need you.” Derek said.

“I'm done doing things your way Derek.” She said stubbornly. “So from now on. If you need my help. We're doing it my way.”
