Chapter 12, more snakes

         As the time unfroze, Cole decided it was a good idea to jump in the air with his car-digger-thing and unsummon it, Good thing was Cole held on to GK so he wouldn't be hurt. Zane also jump flipped his vehicle into the air and unsummoned it turning it back into its weapon, He groaned looking at his Ninja color, Pink.

       "Well, our vehicles won't traverse the steps we go the rest of the way on foot" Cole said, GK looked at the mountain, It had the height of at least mountain everest, No way we were going to climb that.

      "But this is the mountain of a million steps, aren't we pressed for time?" Zane explained, GK nodded, There was no way to climb it in time.

      "Then we'll take a short cut" Cole said, He was grinning under his mask. As Cole carried Zane to reach the enterence inside the cave Cole said to wait here but GK didn't listen. Behind their backs GK created a portal to reach there faster.

     "Dang, my brother really did that" Jenny said in ghost form, She then teleported to GK since she was a bit bored. Around like 15 minutes later The rest of the group reached inside the mountain where he found GK.

    "W-w-what? how did you get here?" Cole asked, Zane was confused as well.

   "Haha, Secret" GK grinned. Cole came down with Zane sliding down a rope. After Zane and Cole along with GK walked over to a wall, There was pictures and what looks like random scribbles.

   "huh, didn't momma snake ever tell them not to draw on the wall?" Cole asked sarcastically. Cole and GK went closer to Zane holding a torch.

   "These images describe a legend about one tribe uniting them all" Zane said.

  "I mean these snakes had been at war with each other for centuries." Cole cut in.

  "Well it says here, once they reunite they can find the four silver fang blades that will unleash the great devourer. An evil that will consume all of the land turning day into night" Zane explained as the others listened.

    "You get all that from those little pictures?" Cole asked turning to GK as he shrugged. Noise was suddenly heard from under them.

    "Guys, I think somethings going to happen now" GK said looking at something coming closer to them. "Guys... don't freak out but theirs something behind us right now coming closer."

     "WHAT" They turned to the cracks coming. "Don't move." Cole commanded as they stopped in there tracks. Suddenly a black scaled snake broke out of the ground, using its tail to grab Zane.
"I've been waiting- wait, you there! Who are you?" The snake asked pointing to GK, GK stood in fighting position.
"I am-"
"He's the new member of the ninja team" Zane grunted trying to get released from the grip.
"New ninja or not, it wouldn't matter" the snake laughed, then Gk punched the snake hard in the jaw, the snake released Zane out of his grip but was about use his tail to grab GK but Cole used his weapon to hit the snake as it sighed underground.
"Zane! GK! Go for the ropes!" Cole cried but as they where about to, GK was dragged underground, sure it hurt as GK screamed unexpected.
"GK!" They both cried out, GK was launched out but quickly created the magic flying cloud to catch him ensuring his safety.
"We have to go!" GK cried, they nodded climbing up the rope, GK was dragged down again but as he was, he kicked the snake as he flew up on the cloud.

"Guys, if he was expecting us I think the others are walking into a trap" Cole said, he picked up GK who was still trying to get up. "You okay there shorty?" Cole asked, GK turned to him with an offended look.
"Let's just go" GK said as Cole chuckled.
