Bailey’s POV

I was walking behind Ben with Audrey and Chad in front. I just feel invisible sometimes. When we arrived outside, Audrey’s mood changed

Chad- Those kids are trouble.

Evie- Bye, Mal.

Mal- Bye.

Ben- Come on, Chad. Give them a chance.

Audrey- Oh. No offense, Bennybear, but you’re just too trusting. Look, I know your mom fell in love with a big nasty beast who turned out to be a prince. But with my mom, the evil fairy was just the evil fairy. That girl’s mother.

Ben- I think you’re wrong about them. I'll see you later.

Audrey- Come on Bailey, let's go.

Bailey- Um, I'm good. I'll stay here with Ben.

Audrey- Ugh, whatever.

Audrey then left with Chad. Of course, she has to treat me differently.

Ben- Hey just ignore her. I know she's getting to you but please ignore her.

Bailey- I'll try.

Mal- Hey.

I turned my head and we started to walk to Mal.

Ben- Hey, how was your first day?

Mal- Super.

Bailey- Hey um, you should really think about taking this talent off the locker and into art class. I could, uh, sign you up. What do you think?

Mal- Way to take the fun out of it.

She then slammed her locker and left. I didn't mean to hurt her feelings. My eyes started to get glossy.

Ben- Hey no, no, no. No tears, not today. She probably didn't mean to snap at you. If you want I can talk to her later.

Bailey- No it’s okay, it's whatever. I'm used to it. I'll see you later.

I wiped my tears and left. I really couldn't tell where I was going because my eyes were covered with tears. I wasn't paying attention when I ran into someone. I looked up and saw Carlos.

Bailey- Oh my god, I'm so sorry.

Carlos- Hey it's okay, it was an accident. Hey, you okay?

Bailey- Yeah I'm fine.

Carlos- No your not.

I just then let all the tears out. Carlos brought me into a hug and I cried into his shoulder. He smelt so nice but I'm just really stressed with school, the new kids, and my emotions. I can't handle it all. After a while, I backed up.

Bailey- Thanks Carlos, I needed that.

Carlos- Your welcome princess.

When he called me that, I smiled. I then turned around and left for my next class. Why do I always get happy when I see that boy?

Mal’s POV

I decided to walk into the bathroom and I see Jane.

Mal- Hi! It's Jane, right? Ah, always loved that name. Jane.

Jane- That's cool.

She then started to leave but I stopped her.

Mal- Don't go! I guess I was just kind of hoping to make a friend. You probably have all the friends you need though, huh?

Jane- Hardly.

Mal- Really? I mean, with your mom being fairy godmother and headmistress? I mean, not to mention your own, um… personality.

Jane- Id rather be pretty. Youve got great hair.

Mal- You know what? I have just the thing for that.

I then slam my book on my hand and find the spell.

Mal- Its right… Ah, here. Beware, forswear, replace the old with brand new hair.

Jane- Oh, ah, ah!

Mal- Wow! You almost dont notice your… other features anymore.

Jane- Do my nose!

Mal- Oh, i cant. Ive been practicing, but you know, I cant do really big magic. Not like your mom with her wand. I mean, one swoosh from that thing and you could probably have whatever features you wanted.

Jane- She doesnt use the wand anymore. She believes the real magic is in the book. And not the spell books, regular books with history and stuff.

Mal- Whata  rip.

Jane- Yeah.

Mal- You know, she used magic on Cinderelle, who wasnt even her real daughter. Doesntg she love you?

Jane- Well, of course she des. Its… its just, you know, tough love. Work on the inside, not the outside. You know, that sourt of thing.

Mal- Thats the face! Yeah, and then just lookas if your… your heart is about to break. Oh mother, i just dont understand why you cant make me beautiful, too.

Jane- Think it would work?

Mal- Yeah. I mean, taht what old Cindy did, right? And your mother bibbidi-bobbidi-booed the living dayights out of her. And, hey, if your mom does decide to, you know, break out the old wand, invite me.

Jane- If I can convice my mom, you’re so there.

Mal- Yay.

Jane- Bye.

Mal- Bye.
