Dark

   Everything was dark...

    Leena couldn't see anything...

    She couldn't feel anything..

    She could only listen to the sounds of Eddie crying. It was tearing her apart hearing it.

    "Leena.."

    The girl was confused. She couldn't look around and even if she could, she couldn't see anything.

    "Leena..."

    The voice was louder and feminine. Leena couldn't respond in her state, so all she could do was listen as the voice called out to her. As she continued to listen it started getting louder and closer. It sounded familiar... very familiar...

    The noises started becoming overwhelming as it continued to grow louder. Her head began to pound. She wanted to scream but she still couldn't. Her mind began to scream and within seconds Leena's once lifeless corpse shot up as she began to gasp. Everyone jumped back but Eddie. The boy wrapped his arms around his once deceased lover.

    "holy shit.. Leena.." Eddie buried his face back into the crook of her neck as one hand held her back and the other grabbed the back of her neck pulling her close.

    Leena was crying and her head was still pounding. The group gathered around the couple confused how the once lifeless girl was now breathing and sitting up in front of them.

    "the voices.. they were... they were so loud.." Leena whispered in hushed sobs.

    Eddie gently stroked the back of her head as she continued to cry. A few minutes pass before Eddie slowly helps her up. Her eyes were red and puffy and she had stains from her tears going down her cheeks and her baby hairs clung to her cheeks.

    "the voices should be gone now..right?? Eddie asked as he rubbed her forearm. Leena only nodded as she rested her head into his chest. "Here hop up."

    Eddie turns into a squat position motioning for Leena to hop up and she does just that. She hopped onto his back and rested her head against the back of his. He smelled like a mixture of weed and his cologne he always wears that Leena bought him for his birthday a few months ago. The smell was soothing to her. It soothed her so much she fell asleep 5 minutes after they started walking.

    Eddie turns to Steve, "is she asleep?" Eddie asked motioning to the girl on his back. Steve looked at the sleeping girl and nodded to Eddie.

    "yeah she's out."

    Eddie smiled knowing she needed some rest after the shit she just went through. He rubbed the bandage on her arm that was covering one of the many cuts from earlier. Eddie felt his eyes begin to water but he choked them back wanting to stay strong for everyone else.

    "I hope Dustin's theory is correct.." Nancy says.

    "Yeah, let's hope we can get the hell out of here safely." Eddie chimes in.

    The group continues walking until they reach the Munson trailer. When they walk through the door right away they see the door to the right side up. Eddie quickly set Leena down in a chair and woke her up by gently rubbing her upper arms. Leena slowly opened her eyes as Dustin and the others met with Nancy, Steve, and Robin under the door.

    "Alright you guys find a way for us to get across!" Steve said to Dustin.

    The three kids quickly ran off to find things as the kids in the upside down waited.

    "What's going on?" Leena asked as she rubbed her eyes.

    "We're going home." Nancy said with a smile.
