Hawkins Lab 1975

    'Beep, Beep, Beep.'

The alarm went off on the intercoms in Skylars room. She was an orderly so she had to put on a freshly pressed white dress with plain white tennis shoes. Her hair was brushed straight and parted down the middle. Her nails were filed to perfection which was only to provide the children with 'a perfect mother figure'. As Skylar finished tying her shoe a knock appeared on her door.

"Good morning Skylar." Henry whispered with a smile. Skylar held back her smiles and merely nodded.

"Good morning Mr. Creel.." She whispered.

"May I walk you to the rainbow room?" He asked with a hopeful glisten in his eye.

"I think I can allow that.."

Henry intertwined his fingers with Skylars as they walked to the rainbow room.

"What is Papa doing today?" She asked the boy as he softly caressed the side of her hand with his thumb.

"face offs. The kids stand in circles blind folded; first to get knocked out of the circle loses."

"I hate these.. the smallest always leave with broken body parts, but does papa care? No.. not as long as he's getting a strong little army together." Skylar stated in disgust.

As they stood outside the rainbow room the two dropped each other's hands and slowly walked in to greet the children.

As Henry made his way through the halls a pit of guilt hit his stomach. Just earlier Papa had caught him and Skylar kissing in the Janitors closet and had beaten Skylar senseless. Henry clenched his fists until they were white by his side.

As he wandered the halls Henry heard the sound of a heart monitor. He was coming up to the infirmary. The sounds of a doctor's heavy dress shoe grew louder the closer he got.

"I don't get how men like Brenner can do things like this to kids." The doctor said as Henry began to peak in from around the corner. Henry looked at the table to see a body that appearance wise barely looked like Skylar. Her face was bloody and bruised. Her brown hair clung from sweat at her cheeks.

"Everyday that doctor makes me question working with her.." The man said as he placed his chart on his desk.

"What can we do to smuggle kids out of here? We'll get caught and probably killed." A nurse says as she places an ice pack on the girl's forehead.

Henry finally makes his appearance known by stepping around the corner completely. The doctor and nurse looked up at the boy confused.  "Can i uh.. can i have a moment with her alone.." The boy said as he held back a sick feeling in his throat.

"yeah.. we'll keep guards away.." the nurse said, grabbing the doctor's hand and pulling him away. Henry got down to his knees in front of Skylar's bed. Tears filled his eyes but he quickly wiped them away.

"I'm so sorry.. this is all my fault.. I should have kept you safe. I shouldn't have pulled you into that closet, I just missed you.. I wish I could give you a life far away from here. You deserve the world and I'm sorry you're confined to these walls..." Henry placed his ear on Skylars chest and listened to her heart beat.

Skylar let out a screech of pain as the doctors held down her arms and legs. Her head was spinning. She knew what was about to happen because they did the same to Henry and they found out he was using his dreams to go see her. She didn't want to lose her powers because it's how she and Henry stay connected within the walls of Hawkins Lab.

"PLEASE DON'T DO THIS I'M BEGGING YOU!!" The girl screamed as the doctors began to rub a number on her neck.

Two doctors grabbed the sides of Skylar's face and tied her head down to the table. They began to cut into her neck before the number even started to work and the girl started screaming louder until she passed out.

    Hours Later...

Henry walked through the empty dimmed halls Hawkins lab. He stuck to the shadows so the camera's couldn't see him. As he slowly opened the door he saw Skylar in the corner crying. Henry hurried to her side and pulled her into his lap.

"Are you ok.." he asked in a soft quiet tone.

Skylar didn't respond. She felt so tired and weak, but most of all.. she was scared. Her control was gone, so as Henry tried to look down to look into the girl's eyes he saw gashes throughout the entirety of her arms. Henry couldn't do anything but grab her sheets and wrap her arms in them and hold the girl until she fell asleep.

    The next night..

As the lights went out on the tired girls room she began to fight the urge to sleep out of fear. The ghost's would attack her as she slept to get the upper hand. She hadn't slept since the surgery which has left the girl absolutely exhausted. Henry had been beaten earlier that day for running off to Skylars room the night before, so she had absolutely no more protection from the ghosts.

The girl began humming a song she had heard an orderly sing ages ago when she was trying to stay awake during her shift. However, as the night continued on the song's volume died and the girl drifted off to sleep.

Everything was calm at first. All that could have been heard was soft snores coming from the sleeping woman. All Skylar could do before everything happened was let out a broken cry as the ghost began screaming and tearing the poor girl apart. A normal person after seeing a body as mangled as Skylars would probably cry and be traumatized, however, Henry only felt anger. An anger towards one specific doctor. The doctor that killed his Skylar..
