Once Steve had gotten home, the boys and el were already there. They bombarded Steve with a huge hug as soon as he got out of the car. Steve had to hold in his tears. The comfort they were giving him right now was what he desperately needed.

Dustin suddenly pulls away and smiled up at Steve. "Missed you dipshit. What do you got for us to watch tonight?" Steve laughed and wiped his eyes. "Woah man, are you crying?"

Steve threw his arm around dustins neck and started pulling him towards the front door. "No. I'm not crying. I miss you too ass munch and I've got something really cool for you guys tonight. I think you'll love it." Steve bent down to whisper in Dustin ear. "It's super scary and bloody." Dustin let out an excited squeak as he turned to the rest and told the rest what Steve had said. Steve heard a bunch of "fuck yeahs" and "on shits" he laughed and shook his head.

He was headed into the living room when he saw Robin sitting in the couch. "Hey Stevie." He wanted to hug Robin and break down into her arms at that very second.

"Hey rob." He smirked as she flipped him off. She hated that so much and Steve loved to piss her off.

"So what disgusting gore movie are we watching tonight?" She walked over to Steve and wrapped her arms around him tightly. He did the same and rested his chin on top of head.

"Child's play. Thought the boys would love it."

"Ew god Steve. I hate that fucking doll." He felt Robin shiver in disgust and laughed.

"Well lucky for you we won't be watching." Robin back away slightly. "I actually wanted to talk to you about what happened tonight." Steve's voice cracked and he tightened his grip on Robin. She gave him a sad smile and hugged him tight.

"Okay. How about I set everything up for the boys and you grab us some beers. Well hang out in your car and just talk. Sound good?" She backed away and Steve rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

"Yeah no that won't work. My cars kind of... destroyed." Robin turned and gave him another confused look. He shook his head and sighed.

"I'll explain everything once were in your car. Is it okay if we just use yours?"

Robin nodded and ushered Steve to the fridge.

"Go out and wait for me. I'll be out there soon. Okay?" Steve nodded and kissed the top of her head as he went by.

"Thank you Robin."

Robin watched Steve walk out and sighed, letting her head fall into her hands. She knew something bad had happened. She knew even before he left that it would. Trying to steer Steve in the right direction was so hard, especially when it involved feelings. Steve sucked with those and sucked even more with self esteem. Robin would never tell Steve, but she knew how he thought of himself. One night they got drunk and Steve let it slip out how much he hated him self whenever Nancy had broke his heart. He told her every intrusive, brutal thought he had. It hurt her heart and she wanted to help. But it was emotionally draining sometimes. Especially when Robin had her own little secret that she really didn't want Steve to figure out.

"Hey Robin. Where did Steve go?" Dustin questioned. Robin lifted her head and smirked at Dustin.

"I need him for some girly talk tonight so you guys will be in your own. Don't get to scared." She winked and Dustin nodded and said a quick "yes!"

"They're leaving us to watch the movie alone because they're bitches and need to gossip so looks like it's just use tonight!" The living room boomed with the sounds of excited boys and a weirdly excited el. She was probably excited because she could scare the boys without Steve lecturing her. Robin laughed and started making the food for the kids. She loved doing this but sometimes it weighed on her. The secret she was keeping from Steve, the secrets she kept for Steve from everyone else. It was just a lot to handle sometimes. But she did it because she loved them.
