Chapter 21

After breakfast was downtime and I finally worked up enough courage to ask Danyka out but there was one problem, she's showing a new student around. It's amazing to think that this week alone we've gotten four new students Piper, Glitch, Blackstar and now Crystal. Piper is a lot like me, nerdy and all about grades but is still able to split her time equally between the two. Glitch... There's no words to describe him. He's loud and shy at the same time. Oh, clumsy as well. Just like his brother. Speaking of which, I need to ask Josh if I can borrow his Xbox controller. Blackstar and I were going to have a head to head COD PVP battle later today. As I walk to the gym, I hear quick footsteps approaching from behind and turn just in time to be tackled. I landed hard on my back and take a second to catch my breath before trying to get up. It was no use, I was pinned to the ground.
"OH MY GOD!! IT'S REALLY YOU!!" Who ever it was they were practically strangling me. My glasses had fallen off sometime in the process, so I couldn't see who my attacker was.
"Crystal! You're going to kill him!" I hear Danyka laugh. So this was one of are new students. The school is definitely going to be more lively with the blue headed girl around. Danyka helps us both up and turns to me.
"What brings you to these parts?" She asks, referring to the fact that I wouldn't usually be caught dead in the gym.
"I had something to ask you and I thought you said that you were going to play b-ball with the Nerds, Tristam, Rebel and Puppet." I explain, a wave of nausea washing over me. I can't believe I'm doing this.
"So, what was it you wanted to ask me?"
"Will...." I trail off.
"Nick, you need to speak up. You're mumbling." I take a deep breath.
"Willyougooutwithme?" The words were all slurred together and I sounded like an idiot. She runs up to me and hugs me.
"YES!!" Danyka yells. There was a loud squeal that I could only assume belonged to Crystal. The bell for third period rang I break the hug.
"See you at lunch!" I yell as I head off to Glitch Hop with Falcon Funk.
