Chapter 23

(RoguePOV)
I woke up early and couldn't fall back asleep. I grab my iPod and headphones and play Howler's Tetris remix. I swear Nitro and Howler are related. I quietly pad across the room and walk on to the deck. It was a brisk morning and the cool early morning air was relaxing. I sigh. Maybe today's the day that I'll ask her if she wants to go to the dance with me. Nah. There's no way she likes me. I hear the screen door open and Throttle joins me on the deck.
"Good morning." He yawns.
"Morning. You're up early." I answer.
"Yeah. Noisestorm caught something and snoring like a pig." We pause. I could loud hear snoring from the next room. I chuckle.
"I really don't understand how Glitch and Haywyre can sleep through it." Throttle exclaims. I laugh and shrug my shoulders.
~Time Skip~
"Guys, shut up!" Gwen yells from the head of the table. "The Child and Danyka have an announcement."
"What?! No we don't!" Danyka yells back. Her face had brightened at least five shades of red.
"Come on! You already have our attention!" Haywyre yells from further down the table.
"We're officially together." Nick says flatly.
"Congrats." I exclaim, patting him in the back.
"When are you going to confess your love for Howler?" He shoots back. I feel my cheeks redden.
"W-what?"
"You know what I'm talking about." He smirks.
"I do no-"
"Attention please." Monstercat brings are conversation to a close.

I snuggle up next to Tristam with my breakfast in hand.
"Good morning." He whispers in my ear.
"Good morning, babe." I hug him.
"Awwwwwwwwww! You two are so adorable!" Crystal squeals.
"Attention please." Monstercat calls the attention to the stage.
"First, congrats to Miss Crystal on thirty thousand views on her new single." Loud clapping echoes off the dinning hall walls.
"And secondly, we will be hosting a new remix competition of Televisor's Starlight. Unlike last year though, it will be a school wide competition. Lastly, Monstercat High is second in the league and will be moving on to the finals against Proximity." Someone started chanting.
"MONSTERCATS, MONSTERCATS, MONSTERCATS!!"

(A/n)
I recommend rereading the part in the beginning (before throttle joins rogue) while playing Flight for a different experience. I actually felt more clam while writing that part with Flight playing in the background.
