"Were you able to recover your precious item from that imp", the salesman asked
"Yes, we did", Kate said
"Oh, you got it, you got it, you got it, you got it", the salesman shouted in excitement, shaking Link and Kate; he then stopped and approached an organ that randomly appeared in the room, "then listen to me, please play this song that I am about to perform, and remember it well...
the Mask Salesman played a melody, it was both calming yet held a hint of sadness, as soon as Kate played the song, she held her head in pain, yet no sound was coming out of her mouth, her height was back to normal, her skin, back to normal, but on her face was a Deku Mask, which soon fell off and to the ground, Kate was back to normal.
"Kate", Link called out, quickly hugging her, which she returned
"This is a melody that heals evil magic and troubled spirits, turning them into masks, I am sure it will be of assistance to you in the future", the Salesman stated, everyone's eyes trailed downward, toward the mask, "ah yes, I give you this mask in commemoration of this day; fear not, for the magic has been sealed inside the mask, when you wear it, you will transform into the shape you just were; when you remove it, you will return to normal",
"Thanks", Link said, picking up the mask, both Link and Kate eyed the mask before putting it away
"Now, I have fulfilled my promise to you... so please, give me that which you promised me...", the Salesman asked, holding out his hand, Link and Kate only starred at his hand, "don't tell me... my mask... you did... get it back... didn't you",
"Umm", both Link and Kate muttered in unison, looking at each other, confused; the Salesman wasn't happy and began violently shaking them
"What have you done to me", the Salesman shouted, "if you leave my mask out there, something terrible will happen",
"What's the deal with this mask", Kate asked, she and Link recovering from the violent shaking
"The mask that was stolen from me... it is called Majora's Mask", the Salesman explained, "it is an accursed item from legend that is said to have been used by an ancient tribe in its hexing rituals; it is said that an evil and wicked power is bestowed upon the one who wears that mask; according to legend... the troubles caused by Majora's Mask were so great... the ancient ones, fearing such catastrophe, sealed the mask in shadow forever, preventing its misuse; but now, that tribe from the legend has vanished, so no one really knows the true nature of the mask's power... but I feel it; I went through great lengths to get that legendary mask, when I finally had it... I could sense the doom of a dark omen brewing; it was the unwelcome feeling the makes your hair stand on end, and now... that imp has it...I am begging you, you must get that mask back quickly or something horrible will happen; I am begging you, I am begging you, you must do it",
"Alright", Link said, the Salesman looked at them in shock
"Really, you'll do it for me", the Salesman asked, "I was certain you would tell me that... you'll be fine, surely you can do it; believe in your strengths... believe...",
"Link, can we talk, please", Kate asked as the two moved away from the mask salesman, "we agreed on not taking another adventure...",
"I know... but we've seen what that mask can do", Link stated
"I know... if we don't do something, then its goodbye to this place", Kate muttered
"Tatl's brother said something back upon the roof", Link began
"Swamp, Mountain, Ocean, and Canyon", Kate reminded
"Somethings there, something that can save this place", Link explained, "whatever it is, it could help us stop the moon and the mask",
"But where do we go first, and exit here could lead us anywhere", Kate said
"We'll start at the exit closest to us, the south exit", Link said, "wherever it takes us, we'll start there",
"Alright... do you think we'll have to use the mask", Kate asked, pulling the mask back out
"We might, I don't know", Link said, "but it never hurts to hold onto it, right",
Yeah... we ready to go", Kate asked
"Ready as I'll ever be", Link said; Link and Kate then ran out of the Clock Tower; glancing up at the moon, it was still in the same position it was when they entered the Clock Tower; their gaze soon turned toward the gate, a guard was on guard, but let them pass, seeing as how they had swords; leaving Clock Town, Link and Kate made their way to the woods
