Legend of Zelda, The Mask of Majora

The Ocean

Traveling out of Clock Town from the west gate, Link and Kate found themselves at a beach, monsters seemed to be roaming around in the water, even in the sand, making Link and Kate tread carefully; however, in the water, a Zora was floating... almost as if it was hurt; swimming out and bringing him to shore, the Zora got up and walked onto the beach before he fell down

"Hey, you ok, what happened", Link asked, worry in his voice

"I am Mikau of the Zora people... guitarist in the Zora band...", Mikau said, "I think this is it for me... my final message... will you listen",

"Of course", Kate reassured

"The carnival's beginning soon, we're the ones they're wanting to see", Mikau explained, "but that girl, our vocalist... she laid some strange eggs, and she lost her voice, you can't hear what she says; I don't wanna beg, but the Gerudo Pirates, they stole that girl's eggs; I went to stop the Gerudo Pirates, then pow and bam... I got knocked down and here I am; if I die like this... even if I die... it won't be in peace... please rescue her eggs before the pirates take their toll, heal my soul",

"...Kate...", Link called out in a gentle tone, Kate could only nod her head as she played the Song of Healing to help Mikau; Mikau gave his final breath before disappearing, leaving behind a mask with the face of a Zora; as a final farewell, both Link and Kate made a small grave for the departed Zora before looking at the mask

"Could it be another changing mask", Kate asked, Link said nothing but put the mask on andc changed into a Zora, then took off the mask

"Looks like it", Link said, "now we have to figure out where this Pirate Fortress is at",

"Try the sign's", Kate stated, pointing toward the signs

"That'll work", Link said as the two ran off, Link using the Zora mask to swim inside as Kate held onto him; inside the Pirate Fortress, both Link and Kate observed around,

"Thanks to the seven years, we know about the Gerudo tribe", Kate explained, "they don't like men for some reason, and if we're not allowed in somewhere, they'll either throw us out or in a prison",

"I'll check for an opening underwater, see if you can find anything from here", Link stated

"Got it", Kate said as Link jumped into the water and Kate scanned the area; the Gerudo Pirates were patrolling the fortress walls and above the water by boat... there was no way in from what Kate could see; however, something that caught Kate's attention, not all the eggs were there, three were somewhere in the sea as four were there; not long after, Link emerged from the water

"I found a way in underwater", Link stated

"Alright, everything's heavily guarded up here", Kate said, "that and not all the eggs are here",

"What do you mean", Link asked

"There's seven eggs in total", Kate stated, "four are here, the rest are somewhere nearby... underwater",

"If we want to get things done, we'll have to split up", Link explained

"If you can get me inside the fortress, I'll get what we need there", Kate said

"Alright, you ready", Link asked

"Let's go", Kate said, jumping into the water and grabbing ahold of Link as he swam underwater, fast; as the two were officially inside, Link and Kate soon resurfaced and Kate hoisted herself onto the ledge

"I'll be back soon, just be careful in there", Link asked

"I will, promise", Kate reassured, "you be careful as well",

"Promise", Link said, diving back underwater and swimming out of the fortress as Kate walked through the door, there, she saw a few pirates patrolling the area

"Just like Hyrule Castle", Kate muttered to herself as a few memories entered her head; the day she and Link first met Zelda, having to sneak past the guards to reach Zelda; Kate's head soon snapped back to reality, making her way past the guards and collecting the eggs she could find; once she found all of them, she began making her way back toward the underwater entrance to escape... as she opened the door, she ran into Link, both scaring each other in the process

"Link, you scared me", Kate said

"Me too, I thought you were one of the pirates", Link stated

"Please tell me you got the eggs", Kate asked

"Yeah, I do, and I know where to bring them", Link replied

"Alright, I have the four here, lead the way", Kate said as both jumped back into the water and swam away from the fortress; making their way back towards the beach, Link and Kate arrived in a seaside laboratory; Link took off the Zora Mask as the two entered inside; in a giant tank, three Zora eggs were already inside and Kate put the final four inside the tank; with all seven there, the eggs hatched and the Zora tadpoles swam up and stayed in a formation

"This looks like notes", Link said as Kate pulled out her Ocarina and began playing the tune and the Zora Children seemed to be pleased

"Got a new song... but what do we do with it now", Kate asked

"We go find the lady who had these eggs", Link stated, "I know where the Zora's are... had to get a few things before I could go after the other three",

"I understand... lead the way", Kate said as the two ran out of the lab and made their way to the Zora's Hall.
