Legend of Zelda, The Mask of Majora

Great Bay Temple

"What happened when you were in there", Link asked, the two finally reached the Zora Hall, and were walking around

"It was just a fortress filled with Gerudo women", Kate replied, "though when I was sneaking past them, it reminded me of when we snuck past the guards in Hyrule Castle",

"When we saw Zelda", Link asked as Kate nodded her head

"What about you, what happened on your end", Kate asked

"Well, I found the location and had to come here to get a few things to help", Link explained, "then swam toward an underwater hole where there were giant things, one almost swallowed me",

"Whoa... were they hidden, or...", Kate began

"Hidden", Link responded as Kate nodded her head, walking outside the hall, a Zora woman was standing near the edge, a sad look on her face, starring out at the sea, toward a place where a giant cloud was

"Could that be her", Kate asked

"Yeah, she wouldn't speak when I first saw her", Link explained, "the other Zora's told me about what happened",

"Hopefully, the new song will help", Kate replied

"Want me to play it for you", Link asked

"You might have to", Kate said, handing the ocarina to Link; with a nod of his head, Link approached the Zora woman, the ocarina turning into a guitar with the Zora Mask and Link began playing the song; the Zora Woman's sad look disappeared as her voice was finally back, joining her voice with the song; not long after, a giant turtle appeared, shooting up from the sea, yawning

"I slept quite well", the turtle said, "I just realized this when I opened my eyes, the passing of days is quite quick, isn't it, Lulu; yes Lulu, it's nothing to be surprised at, although my eyes were closed in sleep, I still see everything that occurs in this ocean... hmm, it seems Lulu is confused, regrettable, there is no time for idle conversation; now then, proud Zora warrior, little human, the open seas of Great Bay have need of your might; quickly, climb onto my back",

Both Link and Kate carefully climbed on, and the turtle swam toward where the giant cloud was, the pirates were also on their way but couldn't get past the barrier; carefully holding onto the trees on the turtle's back, the turtle swam through the barrier and into the temple, Link and Kate jumped off his back and ran up toward him

"Thank you", Kate said

"Yes, thank you", Link said as the two ran deeper into the temple where soon, they were greeted with a giant hole in the ground; peering down, they could see not only a platform, but also water; both Link and Kate said nothing but looked at each other, nodding their heads, and jumped down; there, both heard something swimming around until a giant fish jumped out of the water, over the platform Link and Kate were standing on, and back into the water

"Stay up here, try and weaken it", Link ordered, "I'll go in and hit it",

"No, it's too dangerous", Kate said, "stay up here until it's weakened",

"Alright", Link said as Kate ran over, managing to hit it from there, as the monster sank down, Link dived into the water and attacked it; but when it soon got back up

"Link, get back up here", Kate shouted as Link attempted to swim back, but the monster was faster; Link dodged, making the monster hit the side of the platform, the impact knocking Kate over, but the monster was quick to recover and resumed the chase; Kate quickly got up and ran toward the edge; the monster was close, but she was able to snipe the monster down and Link was able to deliver the final blow; the monster jumped out of the water and onto the platform, flopping around, shrinking in size until it disappeared and died; it's mask was all that remained

"Thank you", Link said, climbing out of the water and taking off the mask; Kate then walked up and took the mask

"Three down, one more to go", Kate responded; the area turning white as Link and Kate found themselves on another platform, the third giant in the distance

"Hey, listen, we want you to lend us your power", Tatl called out; both Link and Kate let out a small sigh, "Hey, listen", was always Navi's line... and they missed her always saying that, "if you leave things as they are, something terrible will happen to this world; surely, you're the only ones who can stop it... that's what Tael was trying to tell us",

"What are they saying", Link asked

"Help our friend", Tatl responded as the giant began walking away, "I get it, we have to help the last one, then promise us this... you'll cooperate with us...",

The white light glew brighter, as it died down, Link and Kate found themselves back near the Zora's Hall, the giant turtle was there

"Now i can continue resting in peace, I too must abide the laws of ancient times and again merely watch from my deep slumber", the turtle explained, "but the evil that haunts this land has not completely vanished; Link, Kate, I shall depart after enjoying Lulu's voice a bit longer, I think the gods can permit that",

Saying their goodbyes, Link and Kate left the Zora Hall, returning to the beach, and looking up at the moon, it was still the night of the second day, but who knew what the canyon would have in store for them; in agreement, Kate played the Song of Time, the three returning to Clock Town, and making their way towards the canyon.
