I wake up. It's Monday today. Who says Monday, says class day. Who says court day, says see Paul. I don't think seeing him would do me good right now. I really need moments alone and to think about something else. Jena's revelations really hurt and scared me. I turn on my phone. I realize that I have 17 missed calls from Paul. He must suspect that I am trying to avoid it. I'm getting ready to go to high school and I leave home with my head full of worries.

On the road, I ask myself questions. First of all, does the problem come from me? Am I too possessive? Or maybe I don't trust Paul enough? I'm really stupid! How could a one-month relationship transform me? I was so confident and confident before I knew him and here I am, in my car to complain about a guy. It's incredible...

I'm going to be late by the way!

Once I arrive, I rush in front of the classroom! I open the door and all eyes are on me.

"Miss Forbes! A small alarm failure?" Asks me Mr. Saltzman ironically.

I agree without saying anything.

"You will come to see me at the end of the hour, by the way," he adds.

I'm going to sit in the back of the class. I see that Jena avoids my eyes. She must surely be embarrassed to see me after her revelations. As for Hillary, she is flirting with a guy and doesn't pay attention to the teacher. I left for an hour of boredom. I love Mr. Saltzman but history classes are really not my thing.

The bell rings! I put my things away and stay alone in the class with Mr. Saltzman.

"Did you want to see me, sir?" I ask

"Yes Nina. I'm worried about you. I noticed a slight drop in your notes. You seem less attentive and less active also orally. So are you doing well right now?"

He takes a look at my scratch.

"Don't worry Sir, I'm doing very well," I smile.

"I can't believe you but I'm not going to insist anymore. Know that if you need to talk to an adult, I'm here."

I thank him and I leave the room. I'm going to my locker. When opening it, a piece of paper falls from the locker. I seize it.

"Join me in my car after your history class"

It's signed by -P and there's a heart next to it.

Without thinking, I throw away the paper and get ready to go to my next class.

The teacher is not there yet. I see Jena sitting at her table and I decide to go talk to her.

"Hey, how are you?" I ask

"Yes, why? "She answers.

"I feel like you're avoiding me. If it's about what you told me yesterday, know that..."

"I don't want to talk about this story again. I told you everything, it's up to you to see what you're going to do" she cuts me off.

"Okay, then can we act as if nothing had happened and get close again as before?" I ask with a little smile.

"Of course, come here!" She answers and takes me in her arms.

I had missed this complicity. I missed my friends. All I have to do is talk to Hillary.

The teacher is coming and I'm going to sit in my place.

It's lunch time. I go to the cafeteria with Jena. I decide not to sit at our usual table but at the table furthest from that of athletes. I see Hillary with Tim, obviously flirting.

I decide to go talk to him.

"I'm coming back," I told Jena.

I'm approaching Hillary. She immediately turns to me with a big smile.

"My dear! It's been a long time since we saw each other! Oh, did you get hurt?" She asks, very lively.

"Hillary, you look in a very good mood!"

"I feel great! You know what? We should go to the club to have fun but you should ask your boyfriend, oops" she looks at Tim, embarrassed.

"To your boyfriend finally...to your father what" she recovers.

"I'll let you know, well I'm going to go, Jena is waiting for me" I move away from them and I join Jena.

"So?" She asks me?

"She has fishing! But I don't know what's wrong"

"What do you mean?"

"She was so devastated after her father's death and the fact that she is in such a good mood, I find it shady"

"I think it's rather a good thing that she mourned"

"She did it too quickly. In addition, she barely speaks to us! I'm sure something is happening," I conclude.

We eat quietly.

In the distance, I see Paul and his gang. I see them coming in our direction. He sits down at the table in front of ours and winks at me.

"What are you looking at?" Asks Jena who turns around and then sighs.

He stares at me, it's quite disturbing.

"He didn't stay at his usual table," I said.

"Have you talked to him since?"

"No, I just ignored it. He wanted us to see each other this morning but I didn't go."

My phone is vibrating.

"Why are you avoiding me?"

I raise my head towards him and he smiles at me.

"I don't avoid you" I answer

"You didn't come this morning and you didn't answer any of my calls this weekend"

"Sorry" I don't know what to say to him...

"Did I do something wrong?"

"I just need time a little alone ;)"

"No worries"

He smiles at me. He's so cute when he smiles!

"What did he tell you?"? Jena asks me

"He wanted to know why I was avoiding him, I just told him that I needed time, a little alone," I explain.

Suddenly, Amy from the cheerleader team arrives from behind Paul. She puts her hands around her neck and hugs him. She smiled while continuing to walk her plague hands on Paul's torso. Paul immediately gives me a defiant look. I hear Amy laughing like a pimbêche. Do you want to play Paul?

I grab my phone and pretend to send a message. I then take out my greatest possible smile and bite my lower lip.

"What are you playing Neens?" Jena asks me.

"Does he want to play? I'm going to show him how I play"

Amy settles next to Paul and he puts his hand around his neck.

I grab my apple and bite into it while continuing to fix it. I smile up to my ears.

Amy now finds herself on Paul's lap. She twists her hair and caresses it. I'm going to make him eat her blond hair!

"Jena, shall we go?" I ask

She nods and we leave the cafeteria. When I go out, I wink at Paul, which seems to surprise him.

This is just the beginning, Paul, hang on!
