I wake up quite early this morning. It's 6 a.m. and I'm supposed to start classes at 9 a.m. Not knowing what to do, I decided to go for a little jogging in the neighborhood to wake up. I put on black leggings, a fairly wide gray t-shirt, I put on my headphones and leave the house without making any noise. The sky is still slightly pink and the sun is shining. I have never breathed such pure and fresh air. I start running along the aisle. I meet a few neighbors whom I greet briefly on the road. I pass by the many houses I see so often but to which I never pay attention. I should walk around the neighborhood more often because it's quite relaxing.

When I get home, I go up to take a shower and get ready for classes. Once finished, I go back down to the living room. My mother is in the kitchen and is about to leave.

"Nina, we have to go to work. We will normally return around 7 p.m. Have a good day," my mother told me before quickly joining my father in the car.

Tonight, Derek is coming home for dinner. I don't know what took my mother to invite her. I love Derek but if my parents were to invite a boy to dinner it should be Paul. I feel like I'm betraying him.

I make scrambled eggs and toast that I finish in two seconds.

And yes, I am one of the people who may get up 2 hours before going to class and still manage to be late. I jump in my car and I'm off to high school.

I'm just arriving and I'm going straight to class. I sit next to Jena.

"You're lucky that this teacher is always late!" She makes me know.

"What's new?" I ask him when I get my things out.

"Bah nothing, except that I have a meeting later with Paul. There will be a match against the team of another high school in a short time."

What I feared happened...

"Ah, what time is it?" I ask him.

"The next hour, I don't know how long it will last"

The teacher enters the room, which does not give me time to answer.

I don't have time to think about Jena and Paul. I have to focus on the course and decipher what the teacher says.

Once the class is over, I leave the room and I see Paul leaning against the wall waiting for us.

"Hey babe" he said to me as he kissed me.

"Beurk do this elsewhere," says Jena, which makes Paul laugh.

"I'm going to spend two hours with you. Great..." answers Paul ironically.

"Don't think it makes me happy, shabby," she answers ready to take him down.

"Stop both of you!"

They both look at me, looking amazed.

"Don't worry, it's going to go well," Paul reassures me.

"I hope so," answers Jena

There was definitely a kind of tension between them but not nervous...

"Well, go ahead, I have to go to class," I point out to them.

"A plus bae" Paul told me before moving away with Jena by his side, still arguing.

It looked like a couple...

I go to my history class, which turned out to be super boring as usual. Then I go to my math class. The teacher makes the interros. He goes to the back of the class and distibbed the copies by making a few remarks such as "You disappoint me" or "It doesn't deserve my correction". He is getting closer to me.

"Get back to work," he told me, giving me my copy.

My grade is not terrible or excellent. It's always better than last time. I'm on the right track.

After finishing work, I go to the canteen to go eat hoping to find Jena.

I sat at our usual table when I received a message from Jena

"It will last longer than expected dsl"

Great...

I see Paul's gang heading towards my table.

"Hey Nina, can we sit with you? " asks me Tim

I acquiesce with a smile and my table completes in an instant.

"So?" Tim asks me.

"So what?"

"How do you live it?" He continues.

"How do I live what?" I ask not knowing what he was trying to know.

"Bah the fact that you were fired from the team."

"Not too bad. Amy was fired too and then it was Jena who took over the torch so it's not catastrophic."

"So much the better then. And even when you are no longer a captain, you always remain an intelligent and very pretty girl," he compliments me.

I thank him, embarrassed.

We continue to talk with the rest of the gang. I had never talked to Paul's friends but they are all super nice and funny.

I leave the cafeteria and head for the exit. I see Paul and Jena from the back in the distance coming out of the meeting room and I hide instinctively behind the lockers. Jena died of laughter and touches Paul's arm in a "friendly" way. They walk together towards the visibly empty courtyard. They stop and then look each other in the eyes. They are face to face and quite close. Too close. They always talk and I see Paul staring Jena in the eyes with his piercing look. Which girl could resist him? Jena smiles and then they stop talking. They stay there to look at each other. Oh no! Are they going...?!!!

Jena moves away from him with a smile on her face. She's coming in my direction! I rush to the exit so that she doesn't see me.

I rush into my car and leave high school. Jena and Paul??!!! Paul and Jena??!! No, they wouldn't dare to do that to me... I'm just crazy. But the way he looked at it could not deceive anyone... Or I'm certainly just making movies. Jena would never dare to hurt me and she hates Paul. Paul loves me and he couldn't deceive me. I'm going to fart a cable! It's just not possible!

I get home and sit in my bed. This story has tired me too much and I just need to rest, to calm my mind. My phone keeps vibrating. I bet it's Jena or Paul or both. I put it on silent and close my eyes just wanting to get away from this world.
