PDV Nina

"Are you listening to me?"

I turn to Jena.

"Sorry, I was lost in my thoughts. What were you saying? "I ask him.

"I was asking you if you would like to go out tonight? To decompress a little and have fun since at the moment you are disturbed by..."

"Yeah, I would love it! "I cut her before she finishes her sentence.

She looks at me, astonished.

"Where are we going?" I ask

"I don't know, in fact I was thinking about..."

"In a box!"

"What? You know we have class tomorrow, don't you?"

"It was you who offered to go out!" I'll call him back.

"But I didn't think about going to the club. A Monday!"

"Come on! Please! Please! We'll have a lot of fun, you'll see! Just one night to change my mind as you say! And then Hillary will come!"

She hesitates.

"Okay, okay, but we don't come home too late, okay?"

I acquiesce and greet her before getting into my car.

I turn on my cell phone. No messages or calls. I put it in my pocket and take the road. I stop at the coffee shop to buy peanut butter cookies. I really need it after this day! When I go home, I get a hot bath.

I'm sending a message to Hillary.

Hey, would you like to go to a club tonight?

Barely two seconds later, my phone vibrates.

Yeah totally!

I knew she would accept. Hillary is the party type. She enjoys her youth at the expense of her notes but Hillary is a very intelligent girl, I know it.

I get out of my bath after a good hour and I get dressed for tonight. I decide to wear a fairly simple but tight black dress. She has fairly wide straps and arrives above the knee. I make up quite naturally by insisting more on the lips than the eyes.

Once I finish getting ready, I sit on my bed and start doing my homework. I review the story thoroughly as well as the math. This is where I fell the most. I've been quite busy these days and I've stopped working. Fortunately, my distraction is starting to take up less space. I don't know where we are. Theoretically we are always together but it's as if we are no longer. Do I want to leave him? Or to stay with him? I told him that I didn't care about his past and that it was what he was important to me today. But he humiliated my best friend and didn't tell me anything. It's serious... I knew he had done stupid things but now I don't know how to react.

I finish my homework in 2 hours and I'm going to dinner alone, as usual. My parents are on a business trip and are coming back in the week to prepare their famous dinner.

During this dinner, several people with influence are invited to discuss "business" with my parents. It will happen in a sumptuous house rented for the occasion. I don't really like this kind of events but well. This is an opportunity for me to wear beautiful dresses.

After I finish eating, I leave my house and get in my car to Jena. When I arrive, she is already outside waiting for me. She is wearing a super cute navy blue dress.

"Well, one of us can't drink tonight to drive," she told me as she got into the car.

I look at her with a frown.
