"You heard Jena"

"It's delirium!"

"I want to give him a chance"

"To destroy you?" She laughs.

"Jena! Support me a little! I told him I wouldn't judge his past, he made mistakes, everyone made them. I can't leave him"

"Sorry, it's your business after all," she answers.

On the way, tensions subside and we end up singing loudly.

I drop Jena off at her house before going home. When I open the door, I see suitcases in front of the stairs. Oh no!

"What is this outfit?'s what? Don't tell me you went to class like that! Where is your class bag by the way? We're going to have a great discussion Nina!"

Let me introduce you to my mother.

"Nina! Go change yourself right away!"

As well as my father.

I ignore them and go up to my room. I put on a t-shirt and shorts and then go down to the living room. I sit on the couch and my mother joins me.

"I hope you haven't forgotten tomorrow night's dinner?" She asks me.

"It's tomorrow???!!!!"

"Yes, we leave at 7 p.m. to finish the preparations and then the guests will arrive around 8 p.m. I hope you found a presentable dress. These people are very important to the company. They may be future investors."

"How many guests will there be?" I ask out of curiosity.

"About forty or even fifty".

It's going to be a hell of an evening!

I'm getting ready to go to dinner. We are going to the restaurant tonight.

"Nina, how's it going at school?" My mother asks me when the waiter brings the seafood platters.

"Good" I answer timidly.

"And for your friends? How is Hillary? Did she have a depression? What about your classes? Is it going well? Would you hide something from us? Nina, tell us everything!"

The night may be very long...

I'm arriving at high school this morning and I'm going to my locker.

"Nina!"

I turn around and I feel a hand clinging to my waist and then lips resting on mine.

All eyes are turned towards us and a horde of whispers is heard.

"What's new?" He asks me, with a smile on his face.

"My parents came home yesterday morning, they stunned me with questions and I learned that the evening was happening tonight"

"Oh yes, this famous dinner. Don't worry, it's going to go well. Well, I have to go, let's talk later?"

He kisses me on the forehead and disappears as quickly as he appeared.

Throughout the day, I received murderous looks from many girls and a few guys.

I'm getting ready for the evening. I put on my black bustier dress as well as my black heeled shoes. For makeup, I opt for something quite natural for the eyes and I emphasize with a burgundy lipstick. I finish curling my hair, I grab my little silver pouch and then I join my parents in the car.
