As soon as our heroes run into Azurill. May tried to capture it, the Poke Ball releases it, thus showing the fact that it didn't accept Azurill.

Ash tried to warn her about it. She learns that a Pokémon has to be weakened during the middle of a Pokémon battle, which will boost the chances of a Poke Ball to fully accept a Wild Pokémon as a Caught Pokémon.

May calls forth her Torchic by letting him go battle, but their battling skills are clearly clumsy, so are their commanding directory skills

Torchic shoots Ember at the Azurill line, he got defeated by them

Ash lets Pikachu stop them

May learns that a Fire-Type Pokémon is weak against a Water-Type Move. She also learns from Ash that a Pokémon Center and its workers can heal Torchic

They head to the Oldale Ruins as they meet a man who reveals himself as a professor and his name is Aldon

They're luckily next to the Pokémon Center and our heroes are now there. Torchic is healed by Nurse Joy. She tells them to enjoy the rest of the day including a good night sleep

Ash invites May to witness a video call from: Professor Samuel Oak! The Kantonian Professor finds out that Ash is fully registered for the Hoenn Gyms and the Hoenn League. He and May meet via a video call for the 1st time, thanks to Ash.

May reveals that she and her brother know who he is via the TV news and their notes about him, she even mentioned her little brother who is a big fan of him. (We know that her little brother is Max by the way)

Jessie, James and Meowth contact their boss, Giovanni on the phone booth as he learns that they are now in the Hoenn Region. He refuses to give them any raises of their salary, but he tells them to keep an eye on the Hoenn Region in order to eventually install the Team Rocket branch departments. The phone call is turned off.

Meanwhile Giovanni talks to himself while commenting to his Kantonian Persian by revealing that the Hoenn Region has 2 villainous organizations: Teams Magma and Aqua even if he has to go this far to secretly sacrifice Jessie, James and Meowth on purpose

Ash and Pikachu helped May with the best tour to educate her about the Pokémon Center

They learn that there's a new Gym Leader in Hoenn, which is located in the Petalburg City, Ash and Pikachu are dragged away because she tells them that they are hungry. They eat the good food.

Aldon meets our heroes again, this time at the Pokémon Center and he tells them about the fact that an Ancient Pokémon lives in the Oldale Ruins

Team Magma and their Pokémon confront Alcon by taking him as his hostage. They locked Ash, May, Nurse Joy and Pikachu.

They realized that these crooks caused the power blackout. Pikachu helps Ash and May find the special exit, they made it

Meanwhile Team Rocket digs up to prepare for their plan to steal everyone's Pokémon, they are confronted by Team Magma, thus forcing them to call it a day by heading back into a hole

Ash gets the Master Key. May turns the power on, Joy is no longer locked up.

May catches up with Ash and Pikachu

Aldon learns that Team Magma has obtained the special keys via their friends and associates even if they are undercover, they found a dead end, thus forced to retreat with their helicopter except for Alden.

Ash easily defeats Team Rocket with his Pikachu

Alden installs the keys to open a special sealed basement, they saw a Pokémon: Relicanth

The Relicanth survived so many years ago and lived on thanks to the Oldale Ruins.

Torchic is fully healed. Nurse Joy tells them that she contacted Officer Jenny to keep an eye on the crooks from last night for more info.

Ash, May and their Pokémon head off to enjoy the rest of the day
