Ash and Pikachu team up with Max to head off to the Slateport Museum, only for them to find out that it's closed despite the fact it's always open everyday, according to the Slateport City's guidebook

When Max tried to climb on, he falls, only for him, Ash and Pikachu to meet a young boy.
A young boy calls forth his Spheal, but he tried to let it shoot the Water Gun at the boys. It hesitates a little bit and hits its own Trainer with Water Gun rather then hitting Ash, Pikachu and Max
He tells his Spheal to hit them with the Body Slam, they got away. In return, a rock wall deflected Spheal and its Body Slam right back to its Trainer instead, which is funny.
Spheal tried to hit them with Blizzard, but Ash's Pikachu easily overcomes the Blizzard and then defeats Spheal with ThunderBolt.
Max tells the Trainer that Spheal is a Water-Type, which is vulnerable to an Electric-Type Pokémon and its move
A man comes to them, his name is Captain Stern. He reveals the little boy's name: Marius
He gives the boys the tour as an exceptional.
There are some of the models based on the Water-Type
Marius incorrectly thinks a Goldeen evolves into a Gyarados, but Ash tells him a Goldeen evolves into a Seaking. Max also informs Marius that a Magikarp can evolve into a Gyarados
This shows that Marius is behind from learning more about Pokémon literally.
Max is correct for taking notes about Pokémon via the books and TV
Marius reveals that he plans to become a great scientist like Stern. Our heroes learn from him that Stern is renting a submarine company, because the aforementioned Captain is working on his submarine.
Max, Ash and Pikachu wish Marius the best of luck. They then learn the reason why the Slateport Museum was closed by him was because of the private works, because a certain sample that he got from yesterday. He opens it from the case: a rock filled with the organic heat energy signature that comes from an ocean somewhere in Hoenn.
The flashback shows a certain lava pool in the ocean and a certain Pokémon is probably behind, which is the reason why Stern's rock has an organic heat energy signature. Note: that Pokémon is Groudon.
A disguised Team Rocket Trio of Jessie, James and Meowth are offering the snow cones
They give the snow cones to Ash, Pikachu, Max and Marius
Although, Max realizes that the fact that the " Snow Cone Sellers" are the only business right next to a closed Slateport Museum
As soon as the boys and Pikachu ate the snow cones, which caused the brain freeze moment to begin.
Team Rocket easily steals Pikachu while they trap them into their respective cages. They even I hold back their disguised outfits
Meanwhile Team Magma has safely sent Tabitha and his Magma Grunts to easily infiltrate the Slateport Museum, shut down its electrical power and then steal the sample rock, Stern cross paths with them for the 1st time, even though it's revealed he heard of Team Magma before
Tabitha and his Magma Grunts got away from him, thanks to his Mightyena and its Shadow Ball
The cages Team Rocket have are the electric-proof cages.
Team Rocket, Max, Ash, Pikachu and Marius saw Team Magma (Tabitha and his Magma Grunts) stealing the case of a special rock sample
Team Rocket confronts Team Magma by facing Tabitha and his Mightyena
Marius learns that Team Magma is one of Hoenn's personal villain organizations, he calls forth his Spheal, it didn't want to break the cage because it wants to play with Marius instead. Thus forcing Ash to call forth his Corphish and let it safely break down the cage with the Crab Hammer. They're free.
Tabitha easily defeated Team Rocket, thanks to his Mightyena's well-talented battling skills. Pikachu is out of his cage, Mightyena growls at him. Tabitha tells Mightyena to leave Pikachu alone until he learns that Pikachu is Ash Ketchum's Pokémon.
Ash, Marius and Max catch up with Pikachu as well as Stern
Stern calls forth his Sealeo to battle Tabitha, Magma Grunts and their Pokémon
Marius retrieved the case and gives it back to Stern.
Ash lets his Pikachu and Corphish team up with Stern's Sealeo as they battle against Team Magma's Mightyena
Stern tells Max and Marius to go look for help, the young boys and Spheal head off. They come to May and Brock who by the way have finished their shopping.
Marius of course becomes friends with May and Brock as he and Max let them know that Ash and Stern are battling against Tabitha and his Grunts from Team Magma
Stern gives his case to Ash and tells him to run away, Pikachu and Corphish tried to, but they got hit by Tabitha's Mightyena's Shadow Ball.
The case falls up only for it to open, which caused the rock to split into two
Tabitha and his Magma Grunts retreat with a big rock sample, thanks to Mightyena and the Magma Helicopter as well as the smoke produced from the Shadow Ball.
Luckily, Stern still has a small broken piece of the rock sample
Officer Jenny and her associates alongside with Max, Marius, Spheal, May and Brock to Ash and Stern
Our heroes say goodbye to Marius and Stern
In return, our heroes enjoy the rest of the day by heading off to the Mauville City and its Gym
