I ran around the house like a chicken with its head cut off. I'm preparing for our New Years party. Eddie, and Gareth are on a booze run. My anxiety is through the roof, because this will be the first party at my house. Not to mention the biggest party I've been to. EVERYONE is going to be here. So everything needs to be perfect. The party starts at ten, and it's nine thirty now. "Fuck." I said to myself. I ran upstairs, and took a quick shower. Then I did my hair, and makeup, and got dressed. I bought a dress specifically for this night, and I look smokin in it.

Suddenly I hear Ozzy playing loud from downstairs. I look to my clock. "Shit!" I said frantically. It's ten past ten. I'm late for my own fucking party. I sighed at myself in disappointment as I headed downstairs. "Holy shit man! You're like all sparkly, but dark. Nice." Argyle said stoned as hell. Eddie turned to look at me, and you could see the pure love in his eyes. My heart fluttered. He walked up to me, smiling from ear to ear.

"Persephone! You're so fucking stunning! How the fuck am I this lucky?" He asked while wrapping me in his arms. I instantly felt calm in his arms. "Let's just say we're both lucky? Kay?" I said, smirking up at him. He looked to my lips then back to my eyes. He gently pulled me in, and kissed me lovingly. "Let's get this party started!" He said. Just then someone knocked on the door. "I got it babe." I said kissing his cheek, then going to the door. "PERSEPHONE!" Robin, and Vickie screamed as I opened the door. Both with they're mouths, and eyes wide open. "My God, you all act like I'm a damn Goddess. Hello to you too ladies, Nancy, Steve. Hello as well. Now get in here, everyone else is here." I said, smiling, and letting them in. After I locked the door, I turned around to Eddie holding a crown neat. "Thanks baby. Now lets fucking party!" I said. We clinked our glasses, and downed that shit. We all drank, smoked, danced, and played games. It was eleven fifty, so I was in the kitchen making everyone a shot for midnight. "This was amazing Persephone! Thank you so much for inviting us!" Nancy slurred as she came into the kitchen. I chuckled. "Thanks Nance. Figured we all needed a good bang to go out on for '85." I replied. "Can you believe we graduate in basically four months!?" She asked. "I cannot! I'm so excited though." "Do you have a college picked out yet?" She asked. I became anxious from the question. "Uhh.. no. I'm either going to take a year off, or just not go. I gotta stay, and finish getting Gareth through school." I said nervously. "Oh.. yeah.. I'm sorry Seph. I forgot." "It's okay love. I don't mind. I never really planned on going anyway." "Oh, what were you going to do?" "Well, I wanted to travel around. Playing music. Hopefully get discovered, and become famous." I said while laughing. The thought sounds ludicrous. "Why are you laughing? That's an amazing dream to have! Also, very possible. Have you heard, and seen yourself on stage. Mark my words Persephone, one day soon, I'll be telling everyone I am friends with that famous sexy rock star." She said with a smile. "Thanks Nance." I replied. I saw that it's two minutes till midnight. I put the shots on a serving tray, and headed to the living room with Nancy. Everyone else was in there waiting on us, watching the TV, and waiting for the countdown. "Alright! Everyone grab a shot for midnight!" I announced, and they all did just that. I took a look around the room at all of my happy drunk friends. All paired up for a midnight kiss to ring in the new year. The count down started, and at three we all rose our glasses. "ONE! HAPPY FUCKING NEW YEAR!!" We all screamed, then took our shot. Eddie took me in his arms, dipped me down, and kissed me. "WOO! '86 BABY!" Eddie, and I shouted. We continued to party for the next hour, and a half. Eventually we all died down, and I helped everyone find a nice comfortable spot to crash. Jonathan, and Argyle left because besides the New Year shot, they didn't drink. Once everyone was settled, I moseyed upstairs. Besides the shot, and glass I had with Eddie, I didn't drink as well. Just smoked. I've been feeling sick lately, and just wasn't feeling it. I got to my room, and Eddie was naked, and passed out in my bed. I shut the door behind me, and just laughed at him. I walked over, covered him up, crawled into bed, gave him a kiss, and snuggled up to him.
