Sleep was my other favorite hobby that I enjoyed a little too much, and if I don't get enough of it then I become this whole different person.

I was woken up by the sound of my phone ringing. I didn't know what time it was but light was coming through the windows, so I'm guessing it was sometime in the morning or afternoon.

I usually don't wake up until noon.

Turning over to face my bedside table, I stared at the my phone for a moment, watching it ring. I sigh before grabbing it and squinting my eyes to see Izzy's name on the screen.

Then the time caught my eye and I saw that it was nine in the morning.

"What?"

"I slept in and need a ride to school."

I slapped my forehead before groaning. "Izzy.. really?"

"Please? You know I don't have anyone else."

Looking at the ceiling, I thought about it for a moment before tossing the blanket from my body. I sat up before rubbing my face and sighing. "I'll be there soon."

After we hung up, I groaned before tossing my head back and accidentally hitting the headboard. I winced as I rubbed the spot before getting up and walking to the bathroom.

I did my business before brushing my hair and teeth. I put on some deodorant before walking back to my room and throwing on some clothes, knowing I would probably be stopping at a store to grab an energy drink.

There's no way I was going to stay up without some type of caffeine in my system to keep me going.

I also had work tonight.

Which sucks.

After I was ready, I slid my shoes on before grabbing my keys and walking downstairs. I took my phone out and texted my brother to tell him I was going to take Izzy to school.

He wasn't home anyways.

I left the house and sat in my car for a few minutes as I was letting it idle. I leaned my head back and sighed before rubbing my face and backing out of the driveway afterwards.

Driving to Izzy's house consisted of my music blasting through the speakers and getting weird looks from everyone walking down the street. I didn't care as I slightly waved at them before driving away and I making sure my music was still loud when I pull into Izzy's driveway.

She came rushing out before getting in and I turned the music down a little as I glance over at her. I saw her buckle up before looking at me and sighing, moving the hair from her face.

"I'm sorry."

"It's cool." I said as I backed out of the driveway and left. "You're hardly late, what's up?"

"Aubrey and my mom kept me up last night."

I glance over at her. "Why?"

"I don't know. To be honest, Aubrey is weird."

I chuckle. "Why do you say that?"

"Cause I don't know what she does for work.. if she works. She leaves during the afternoon and I don't see her until the next morning."

I turn down a road before looking over at Izzy and shrugging. "Maybe dealing drugs."

"My mom would not let that happen. She hates anything drug related."

Shrugging, I glance over at her again before looking at the road. "I don't know, kid."

"I hate when you call me that."
