"I'm about to blow this whole shit up."

I look over at Renee as she was wiping down the counter in a forceful manner. I kept looking over at her before looking around as more people were coming inside.

The time on the clock was a little after three and it was getting ridiculous on how many people were coming in after lunch rush.

It's already been hell here this morning and it's not stopping.

I wasn't sure what Renee was talking about but I knew she was talking about this whole place.

Renee looks over at me as I was still watching her. She stops wiping the counter and looks around for a moment before turning around and leaning on the counter.

"This place is hell, Kaden. You agree, right?"

"Yeah."

"The management and the customers."

I nodded, knowing what she was saying. I agreed with her but I couldn't do anything about it cause I didn't want to quit or get fired.

It's my only way of getting out of this town.

There's not many jobs out there and this was the only good paying job that didn't require experience or anything.

After Renee left and walked over to a table, I stood there and looked around the restuarant. I knew that this wasn't going to my whole life and I was honestly ready to leave this place.

Go somewhere far away.

Without anyone.

To me, needing someone was a weakness. I didn't have a family, and Sage wasn't even family to me. I didn't have any friends besides Izzy but we weren't close enough for me to be attached.

It's nothing personal to anyone but I like my alone time and needing someone was never really something I did.

It's always been me in the end.

My mom and dad was there but at the same time they weren't, you know? I had this and they cared but it was like they weren't really there.

My life has always been on depending on myself rather than other people.

I wasn't going to miss this place when I finally leave. I could care less about anything here and I wasn't going to miss anything that I was going to leave beside.

Izzy already knows my plan and she agrees that I need to get away from this town cause she wants to do the same thing when she turns eighteen.

So, she understands.

As I looked around, I heard the door chime and looked over to see Aubrey walking inside. I didn't see Miss Madison with her and since Izzy was at school, she wasn't with her also.

Aubrey walks towards the counter where I was standing before looking over and seeing me. I saw her stop and stare for a moment before looking around and looking back at me.

"I forgot you work here." She said.

"Sure." I said before slightly smiling. "Can I get you something?"

She takes a seat at the counter before grabbing a menu that was nearby. I saw her flip through the pages before looking up at me. "What do you recommend. I've been here maybe twice."

"The sandwiches are good."

"Not really in a sandwich mood."

"Well, you asked for my recommendation."

She looks up at me and when she looks back at the menu, I thought I saw her slightly smile. I kept watching as she was looking through the menu before saying what she finally wanted.
