Chapter Twenty: A Little Confrontation

"She's taking you out, again?" Izzy asked as I was getting ready in the spare room. I was thankful that I was already dressed when she knocked on the door.

The question itself caught me off guard cause I didn't know she knew that Aubrey asked if we could go out again, but apparently she did.

But all I did was nod. "Yeah."

"She must like you." Izzy smiles. "Do you like her?"

"I don't know." I said as I sat on the bed and grabbed my shoes.

Izzy was standing around, watching me as I was putting my shoes on. I looked up at her as she was watching me, knowing I was lying but I wasn't about to tell her that I did like Aubrey.

"Where is she taking you?"

"Not sure. She hasn't said anything yet." I stood up and saw Izzy looking me over before smiling.

"You look cute. For someone who doesn't know if they like Aubrey or not." She smiles.

I shook my head before looking myself over and sighing. I didn't dress to impress but I wasn't wearing sloppy clothes either. I had to make sure I looked good and smelled good.

Aubrey was someone that I wanted to impress.

Izzy was gushing over my clothes and how I smelled good as I was walking out of the room. I heard her follow me downstairs as I heard Miss Madison in the kitchen.

When we walked in, Aubrey was standing at the counter as Miss Madison was next to her. I saw Miss Madison look over as we entered the kitchen and Aubrey's eyes found mine as I was already staring at her.

My eyes traveled down her body as I took in her outfit and had to mentally slap myself before I was caught.

But I already was.

Aubrey was slightly smirking when my eyes found hers.

I had to look away.

Miss Madison said something Aubrey and I saw Izzy walks over to the fridge. I was standing around, looking at things before I heard Miss Madison tell Aubrey to be careful tonight.

She looks at me and smiles. "Have fun."

I nod as Aubrey walks towards me before we both walked out of the kitchen. I followed her outside before stopping when she turns around towards me.

"You mind driving?" She asks.

"Sure." I said before walking towards my car as she follows.

Once I was inside, I saw her struggle to get in before she looks over at me as she was inside. I didn't say anything as I started the car and backed out of the spot before getting onto the road.

"Where are we going?" I ask.

"Pick a place to eat at and we'll go there." She said. I looked over at her as she was looking down at her phone before looking back at the road.

I wasn't sure where to go and I hate picking a place to go to. I didn't even know where she wanted to go, so I drove around for a little while before settlings for this small restuarant.

It was a little well known but I haven't ate it since I was little. I remember the last time I was here was when my parents were alive and we came out to eat one night.

It was nice.

There's not many memories of them that I had where we went out as a family or did things, since my father was so closed off and didn't like the public places.

Once I parked, we both got out and walked towards the building. I saw Aubrey walking close to me before she looks over at me then back towards the building.
