My leg was asleep, and I had filled a few pages of the sketchbook. The light had started to dim, to the point I couldn't really draw much anymore. Sighing, I closed the sketchbook, setting it into my bag. Looking over at Slayer, I noted that he was asleep with the bone sitting in front of him. It looked untouched, but I knew that he had been chewing on it for a good few hours.

Looking up, I noted that the sun was setting. The street lamps were on and the park was basically empty. Shaking my leg, I stood up, stretching a little from not moving for a good few hours.

Turning around, I nudged Slayer gently, "Come on bud, we should head home."

He grumbled, stretched out, then stood up. He picked up the bone and walked over next to me.

"Glad you like the bone." I chuckled, giving him a pat on the head. Yawning, I decided that we should head home before I end up passing out. Picking up Slayers leash, I let him start leading us.

We walked on the park's path. "You know buddy, I'm glad you got some rest. You really worried me this morning." I said, watching as he trotted along the path.

Slayers ears tilted back, then I suddenly felt my bag being yanked off of my shoulders. Whipping around, I saw a guy, with really messy brown hair. His eyes were dar, and dull, he looked dead inside. He was wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood up, black jeans, and black shoes. Basically he was decked out in black. His jeans and shoes were stained brown. He looked very disheveled.

A small glimmer in his hand caught my attention, he was holding a small pocket knife. Not very useful if you're not skilled in it.

We made eye contact and he immediately let go of my backpack. Turning around, he started sprinting, but he wasn't fast enough because I felt Slayer's leash tug. I dropped Slayers leash and he booked it after the guy, jumping up onto him. I watched as the guy collapsed to the ground, Slayer standing by him. His ears pinned back, staring at the guy.

Walking over, I stopped by Slayer. I stared down at the guy, who was now bundled up in a ball... crying? Wait seriously, he was crying?!

"Wait! Don't hurt me! Please! Nice puppy!" He stuttered through tears, staying bundled up in a ball.

What the heck was this guy's problem? "You tried to steal from me, why shouldn't I let him tear you up?" I questioned, towering over the guy.

"I- because!" He stopped and started sentences, trying to find a reason. It was quite pitiful.

Suddenly he jerked up, and attempted to stab me with the pocket knife. Quickly, I grabbed his wrist, stopping him from hitting my chest. He looked at me shocked.

"That was rude." I stated.

His eyes started to fill up with tears. He dropped the pocket knife and cried louder, "I'm sorry! Please don't kill me!" He exclaimed through tears.

Annoyed, I kicked him in the stomach. He heaved as he folded into himself, holding his stomach from the pain. Shoot, I kinda forgot about the steel toed shoes... I let go of his wrist. This was the saddest attempt of stealing something I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of things.

Sighing I looked over at Slayer, he was staring at the guy, confused. His head was tilted slightly and he was intently staring at the guy, like he was trying to figure out what was wrong with him.

I checked my backpack real quickly making sure I had everything. Once confirming that nothing was stolen, I picked up Slayers leash.

"Come on bud." I stated, walking away from the pitiful criminal.

Slayer followed after me. Once again we were following the park path. We had made it a couple minutes in when suddenly I heard a loud, agonizing scream from behind me.
Slayer perked up, and turned around. I looked at Slayer. He looked concerned.
