"Jinx?" A calm quiet voice caught my ear.
Opening up my eyes I found Shigaraki crouched in front of me. There was some space between us, but if needed he could reach out and touch me.
"Nightmare?" He mumbled softly, I couldn't see him very well.
It was dark. The only light was faint moonlight coming from the backdoor. I was... outside of my room. My back was comfortable up against something warm. Glancing back carefully I saw Dabi. He was sleeping peacefully. We were sitting on the floor, his back was resting on the back of the couch. I was leaning on him for support.
"Let him sleep." Shigaraki sighed softly as he sat down in front of me. I looked back over towards him. Shigaraki looked tired. Had he just gotten back? I recall him leaving earlier... What time was it?
"Are you okay?" He mumbled, catching me out of my thoughts. "You're crying." He added as if he knew I hadn't noticed yet.
Slowly I touched my cheek. He was right. I was crying. My nightmare came to mind. I didn't tense up... it was strange, but a little peaceful as well. Dabis steady breathing caught my ear. It caused me to relax softly. I nodded at Shigaraki, I was... okay.
He nodded in response. A sigh escaped his lips and he closed his eyes for a moment. Seeming to try and relax a little himself. Both guys just seemed exhausted and drained. How had I not noticed sooner?
"We need to talk." He sighed as he opened up his eyes. "At the very least I need you to listen." He murmured.
I nodded softly, indicating I was willing to listen.
He was silent for a moment before talking quietly, "Togas okay. You had cut her pretty deeply a few times." He added. There was a hint of pride but also concern in his tone. It was rather contradicting.
"You're a good fighter. Your reaction times are quick. I have a few ideas on how we can work on your quirks' side effects." He explained softly. It was a little odd to me how he spoke. Like, Shigarakis defenses had gone down. He was tired, he wasn't being harsh in any way. He was being just genuine. He sighed, seeming to debate on how he was going to say this next part, "How you fought today... It was good but you..." He paused and took a deep breath, "Jinx you're worrying me."
I perked up a little. Not expecting him to say that. I stared at him, deflating a little as I stayed leaning comfortably on Dabi.
"If you want to fight like that, fine. But you need to come to a halt when I say. You seemed to lose control. I get the feeling but it's a dangerous one." Shigaraki continued, not seeming to notice my reaction as he talked. "If needed we can find a way to get you to stop when I need you to. But that's only something I'll focus on if this becomes a recurring problem." He warned softly, "I just wanted you to be aware for future sessions."
I thought about it for a moment before nodding, indicating I understood. My actions hadn't worried me. But it seemed to worry both the guys... Which made me uneasy? No, that wasn't the feeling... I thought about the numbing dark hole I was residing in. I need to get out... I think.
Shigaraki nodded, he seemed about to pass out. Noticing this I gently patted the spot by my legs. He could rest his back on the couch like Dabi if he was tired. Shigaraki did so. He sighed as he laid his head back and closed his eyes.
"Try to be more mindful of yourself as well." He murmured quietly, "Don't want you hurt like today." With that he went quiet.
I debated his words and nodded. Not that it mattered considering he had his eyes closed. Slowly his breathing evened out and I could tell he had fallen asleep. I sighed softly as I stayed comfortably leaning on Dabi.
I listened to their breathing and closed my eyes. They stuck around. It's been taking a toll on them yet they're sticking around. I took a few deep breaths. "Thank you" I mumbled quietly into the calm dark room. They were my anchors... and I hadn't even noticed.
Dabi took a steady deep breath. I kept quiet. Slowly I drifted back to sleep. Feeling... better than I had in a long time.
