What Am I

As weeks past Deku spent a lot of time with the new vanguard action squad, some of them kept their distance away from him but a few got closer to him, especially Toga who kept teaching him new things and even giving him candy time to time, but as he was with everyone there he couldn't help but to feel a presence similar to his, so once everyone went to sleep Deku began searching the entire area until eventually he reached a giant metal door which was chained shut, as he puts his ear against the door he hears heavy breathing on the other side, so he grabbed the lock to the chains and rips it off with his strength, after doing so he pushes the door wide open letting light shine into the room, from doing so he looks ahead and sees a Nomu chained against the wall, as Deku began approaching the Nomu slowly, he began to see multiple chainsaws connected to it's body but most noticeably was a mask covering it's eyes, as he was getting closer and closer to it though, the Nomu suddenly sensed Deku's presence, which makes it lunged itself straight at Deku, but as it did that the chains prevent it to get any closer to Deku, seeing this Deku is unfazed of what it was trying to do, instead he gets a bit closer until eventually he was face to face with the chainsaw Nomu, looking up at it he raises his right hand up and places it on the visor of the mask, doing this the Nomu begins calming down until eventually it got on its knees and looked at Deku.

~Deku~

"It's okay now."

Saying those words to the Nomu, it begins about its head to Deku, but as it did so Deku then hurt footsteps behind him, so he immediately turned around and saw Dabi approaching him.

~Dabi~

"Hey what the hell are you doing here?"

As he was doing so chainsaw Nomu suddenly rose up and lunged itself once more, seeing it do this, Dabi reaches into his right pocket of his coat and pulls out a control which he then presses a button, which sends a large shock through the Nomu's head, making it fall to the ground and passing out, as Deku saw this he began to feel bad for the Nomu who got hurt.

~Dabi~

"Hey monster, I asked you a question earlier, do you mind answering it?"

~Deku~

"Why?"

~Dabi~

"Huh?"

~Deku~

"Why hurt Nomu?"

~Dabi~

"Because it's a wild animal and wild animals need to know its place."

~Deku~

"Am I... A wild animal?"

~Dabi~

"To be completely honest with you, I don't know what you are, it raises the question on if you're a human or a monster."

Hearing that Deku looks at the chainsaw Nomu, and sees his reflection through the visor of his mask, as he looked at himself he didn't know what he was.

~Deku~

"What am I?"

~Dabi~

"That's something for you to figure out."

As Dabi said that, he saw Deku get on his knees in front of them chainsaw Nomu, which began to regain consciousness, so instead of pressing the button again to make it fall unconscious, he puts the control back into his pocket and begins to walk away, to level Deku with the Nomu, when she was out of the room he shut the door behind him and began making his way back to everyone else, but as he did so he bumped into Toga who is looking for Deku.

~Toga~

"Oh hey there Dabi, have you seen Beastie around?"

Instead of telling her the truth of where he is at the moment, he lies instead.

~Dabi~

"No I haven't."

~Toga~

"Aww really?, If that's the case I better keep on looking."

As Toga ran past Dabi, he quickly turned around and grabbed her by the shoulder, making her stop and turned towards him.

~Toga~

"What's up?"

~Dabi~

"Have a quick question for you."

~Toga~

"Oh okay, shoot."

~Dabi~

"What do you think Specimen is?"

~Toga~

"Huh?, That's a weird question, he's our friend of course."

~Dabi~

"If that's what you think, then I don't need to hear anything else."

~Toga~

"Okay, bye."

Toga then ran off to look for Deku, as she did that, Dabi then proceeded to head back to the others, but on his way there he began questioning if Deku was either a human or a monster.

~A week later~

After a week has passed, Shigaraki has sent supplies to everyone in the vanguard action squad, which meant it was time for them to leave the warehouse they were hiding in, so as everyone grabbed there new equipment they headed through a portal that Kurogiri opened for them from a distance, after everyone stepped through the portal they found themselves in a forest, which was a new experience for Deku, so without any thinking he ran through the forest freely making everyone worried.

~Twice~

"Damn it where's he going!?, Run specimen, Run!"

~Mr. Compress~

"If he goes too far then someone will spot him and our mission will be."

~Dabi~

"Right, let's go after him!"

So everyone in the vanguard action squad begin running to the direction Deku ran off to, but since he ran on all fours they couldn't catch up to him at all, and after he ran off completely they lost site of him so they all split it up to find where he's gone, after a couple minutes of Toga soon found him standing on a ledge on the side of the hill.

~Toga~

"Beastie."

Hearing his nickname, Deku turns his head around to Toga approaching him.

~Deku~

"Toga."

As soon as Toga got close, she quickly grabbed him by the hand and pulled him away from the leg so he wouldn't fall off, after she did that she began pulling him along to bring him back to the others, but while she was doing so Deku looked towards the direction he of the ledge and saw a building just ahead, but that's not the only thing he even smelled a large amount of people there, but out of all the people scent he smelled, there was one that had a particular scent on them, but he didn't know who was it.
