At the end of the class, Chloe takes Barry's arm, and drags him along with her to their next class. Later, it was time for lunch.
Now, in the cafeteria. Barry takes a lunch tray, as he walks he sees a lot of faces. He took the seat opposite to Marinette, and her best friend, Alya Cesaire.
Barry: Hey...uh. Oh, sorry. I didn't get your name.
Marinette: My name's Marinette, Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
And this is my friend, Alya. She's a reporter for the Ladyblog.Alya: Hey, Barry. Welcome to our school.
Barry studies her, intrigued. Much to Alya's confusion.
Alya: Uh, what's with the staring?
He quickly snaps out of it.
Barry: Oh, sorry. It's just, you remind me of someone I know. Believe it or not, she's actually a reporter, too.
Alya: Oh, cool.
Marinette: Well, I see you've already met Chloe.
The rich blonde shoots Marinette a distasteful look.
But she still sat down next to Barry, anyway.Barry also noticed an red haired girl with glasses,
standing next to Chloe. She seemed to follow her like a lost soul. But before Barry could say a word to the girl.
Adrien sat down next to him, and Marinette immediately blushed and became flustered when he sat next to her.
Adrien: Hey, Barry. I see you've met Marinette and Alya.
Barry: Yeah, but who's the girl next to Chloe?
Adrien: That's Sabrina, she does everything for Chloe.
Sabrina waves slightly.
Sabrina: Hello.
Barry waves hello.
Barry: So in other words, she's basically her servant.
Adrien: Sort of, but I try not to think of it like that.
Barry: So, is there anyone else I should meet?
Adrien: Well, uh, who've you met?
Barry: Just the people at this table.
Adrien: Well, I can introduce you to everyone.
Barry: Sure, that'll work. But first I want to talk to you.
Barry looks at Chloe, who had been watching the whole thing.
Barry: If it's alright with you, Chloe.
Chloe: Okay, but you have to be back before class starts.
Barry: Oh, that's a guarantee.
Without another word, Barry and Adrien walk out to the courtyard.
Barry: Dude, she's totally into you!
Adrien: Who is?
Barry: That girl, Marinette!
Adrien: Nah, she's just a friend.
Barry: Dude, I've only been here one day and I can already tell she's into you.
Barry: Plus, I saw her sneaking looks towards you all day in class. And she blushed when you sat down at our table! There's no way that she is "just a friend."
Adrien: Well, I mean...(Sighs) It doesn't matter, anyway.
My heart belongs to someone else.Barry: Who? Chloe, That Japanese girl on the fencing team, or is it the crush you have on that girl that looks like a ladybug?
Adrien: Okay, how did you know that?!
Barry: I could see you looking at your phone for pictures of Ladybug during class.
Adrien: (Sighs) Was it that obvious?
Barry nods and Adrien groans.
Barry: Don't worry, man. You can trust me. I have a lot of experience when it comes to keeping secrets.
Plus, you can introduce me to everyone tomorrow.Adrien: Okay, cool.
They fist bump and head back to class.
Leaving Adrien to wonder what Barry meant by keeping secrets.
