April 1st, 2013

Harry stood there looking at me for a second before bursting out laughing. I eventually joined him as the awkwardness that formed this moment was somewhat amusing to us both. The laughter died down and I realised I would have to talk to him now.

"So, are you a Starbucks kind of girl Lynn?" Harry asked in a condescending tone. I smirked before replying "If you think I am I think I've been friends with a different Harry Styles for 9 years" this got a good laugh out of him. "I know an underground coffee house; are you ok with that?" I ask. He nodded I grabbed his hand, and we were off to my car.

The car ride was filled with a weird silence, it wasn't awkward nor was it comfortable. Harry looked out of the window and occasionally looked at me while I spared him a few glances too. We kept going in this circle of looking at each other until, we looked at the same time. Oh god could this get worse, we both panicked and looked away.

I eventually started laughing again because what is happening to us. "How has our friendship turned to this, Jesus Lynn it's like we don't know each other." Harry said laughing too. "I have no idea why it's so fucking weird, can we just talk about it now, I refuse to be like this in my favourite coffee house." Harry nodded.

I pulled over and got out of the car because God I need a cigarette to get through this. Harry stood next to me and watched as I lit my cigg and took a deep inhale. "You smoke more now?" he asked. "I do yeah, sometimes I need a break." He nodded in a way that I think he understood what I meant.

He eventually asked me for one and we both stood there in silence letting the smoke infiltrate our lungs and with each breath I felt relief. "I know you don't like me asking questions, but I have just one I want you to answer." He says, my heart beats a little faster, but I nod, letting him go on.

"Why didn't you come back for 2 years? It was the longest you had ever been gone." He asks and I let out a small breath before answering, "I had to do my A-levels and they were a bloody nuisance, so I didn't have the time to come for long. I was here for about a week, but it was right after I released a song, so I was really on the down low." I hope he bought that.

He nodded and we continued talking for a bit, catching up. "Do you want to skip out on the coffee? I honestly must get ready for Kat's party" I ask checking the time. "Yeah, that's ok. I'll see you there anyways, but would it be ok if you gave me a ride home? I kind of left my car at Gucci when you whisked me away for this adventure" he said laughing.

I obviously agreed and he started directing me towards his house. We were driving and the roads suddenly started to look a bit too familiar, I assumed it was just in my head and kept up the friendly conversation we had going. We eventually reached his house and no way.

There is no way I was right; this is the place. I started panicking, It's ok, deep breaths. I stopped in front of his house that was so beautiful, but I couldn't focus on the beauty of it right now. "Well, this is my humble abode, I would've shown you sooner, but you haven't been here at all since I moved in." he says attempting more light humour. All I could do was smile and nod before saying goodbye.

He smiled and got out of the car before I sped away not sparing a last glance.
