We rode to his Mansion.
We walked inside The Mansion. One of John's maids showed me my room. It was spacious, had a massive bed, a desk, closet and it had a balcony too. It had shades of Brown all over it. In my opinion I think it looks nice. I unpacked my things. I took out the letters from Dad's things and put them on the desk. I left the rest of Dad's things in a corner.
I went out of my room and took a walk around The Mansion. It was quite massive actually, and nicely decorated.
I was walking and looking around but I accidentally bumped into Irvin. He was wearing his grey buttoned jacket, stout trousers, and button up shoes.
"Oh, I am so sorry. I am so clumsy." I added.
"It's fine. Sometimes I am too." he said.
"I see that you were carrying a lot of books, need help?" I asked.
"Yes please." Irvin said.
I helped Irvin pick up his things and carried some of them.
"So where are we going?" I questioned.
"To my room" he responded.
We went there.
"Okay, so put the books on my desk," he said.
That's what I did.
"I saw that you were walking around The Mansion. Would you like me to show you around?" He asked.
"Lead the way." I responded.
Both of us walked around The Mansion. I saw quite a lot of rooms. Some of them we couldn't enter though. John's office for example.
We got to some interesting rooms. For example when we were in the library.
It was quite enormous, it had a large clock too.
"This is my favourite place to spend time in. I come to the library quite often to read books mostly or just have a moment of silence. I enjoy reading books. It's the best thing to do during my day. I love reading stories and imagining them. What about you?" He asked.
"I don't really spend a lot of time on reading books but it seems interesting." I mentioned.
I talked with Irvin for some time. Later he looked at the clock.
"I really had a nice time talking with you but I must go to my room to get ready for the family dinner we will have. I suggest you do the same." He said as he was walking out.
I went to my room. Then I looked into the wardrobe and picked out a beautiful long white dress. I did my hair too.
I went downstairs and sat with the Morgan family in the dining room. The table was quite long, and there were lots of chairs. Everyone was sitting close to the left end of it.On one side of the table sat Esme and Graham, and on the other me and Irvin. John was sitting in the middle seat. Everyone was dressed elegantly.
"Catherine will be living with us for now." John announced.
"Good." Esme commented.
"Are you enjoying it here?" John asked.
"Yes." I replied.
"Catherine, do you like your room?". John asked.
"It's beautiful. I like the shades of brown." I said.
There was a pause of silence as we ate.
"So why did you get invited to stay in our home? I am asking because I don't think that John did tell me." Esme said.
"Esme could you not ask, Catherine has seen traumatic things. Don't remind her of it." John added.
I got up.
"I am sorry but if you will excuse me." I said and left. I walked to my room.
I went to the balcony, and left the door open. I just let myself shed tears for a moment. What Esme said made me think about how much I missed Dad. I just wish I could talk to him but I can't because he is dead.
Later I heard someone knocking on my door. It was Irvin.
"Come in!" I said loudly.
"I am so sorry that I caused a scene." I commented.
"It's alright, I would have done the same." He said.
Irvin sat by me.
Irvin and I watched the sky.
Later it was time for bed. I prayed before sleeping. "Hello Heavenly Father. I am currently in the Morgan Mansion. Lots has happened. My Dad is not here anymore. I really hope that he is in heaven with you. Please make sure he is. Also please protect me. I don't know the Morgan's so well. I hope that they aren't bad people. I will be going to sleep now. Thanks for listening."
Then I went to sleep. But something just kept me awake. I needed to find out who Elizabeth was. So I got up and went to my desk.
I began reading the first journal entry about Elizabeth. She said that she was born in 1817. She lived in Buckingham Palace. She was a princess.
Then a memory came back. Walking in a place that looked like a Palace. It's weird that I am starting to remember these things isn't it?
Later I went to sleep.
