Time went on. I got trained. It wasn't easy at first but I feel more experienced now. Sometimes we would have fights to train each other. I failed a lot of times but I eventually got better and won. We are still using the firing range. I would say I got better at shooting guns. My class has competitions on the firing range. I joined them too. For example one of them was about shooting targets before someone else the timer was up. I generally win and sometimes lose. That just makes me better.
The training was there so we could protect the workers in the mines. The training also helped us regain and gain territories that were lost to our enemies.
I once led a mission. It was happening a day before my 18th birthday. We would have to make an assault on a mine we lost to one of our biggest enemies, the Inyene family. The plan was to kill everyone that had a gun stealthy. So we did.
We came by foot to the mine. It was heavily guarded. Eventually we got in. We killed almost everyone stealthily. However a gunfight broke out because Irvin got noticed.
No one got hurt. We eventually got all of the guards. We took the commander as a prisoner. I handed him over to John's people.
Eventually John came to the mine.
"Nicely done Catherine!" John commented and clapped.
"Thank you sir." I said.
"Because you are doing so well. I would like you to be a commander. You will wear this blue military uniform. You will make the plans for a mission. You may use an office that was assigned to you for that." John revealed.
"Thank you so much sir." I said.
"Oh and I almost forgot to give you this. Your new revolver. Congratulations." John commented.
John went to talk to other people. Irvin came to me.
"So Catherine, would you like to go out tonight and celebrate your promotion?" Irvin asked.
"I would love to." I replied.
We walked through Glasgow. Irvin and I also ran on rooftops. I felt lots of joy while doing that.
We stopped running. Both of us sat on the rooftop. We talked.
"Oh, the operation was insane. Although I have to say something about it. I am so sorry for getting noticed during it." Irvin said.
"It's alright. We all make mistakes." I added.
For a moment we watched the stars.
We were just enjoying the view. I feel as such that I can be myself around him. I feel that I can trust him too.
In one moment we look each other in the eyes. We kiss. I didn't let go this time. I enjoyed it a little bit. Later we went to a bar.
"I would like to celebrate your promotion and your birthday by buying you a drink." Irvin said as we walked in.
"Samuel, two whiskeys please." Irvin said.
Both of us sat by the bar.
"I really didn't expect that the first thing on my 18th birthday would be drinking alcohol." I commented.
"Well you're getting older and now the police won't come after us for drinking. When it turns midnight we will drink." Irvin said.
We drank alcohol.
Later we had to leave because we were really drunk. We walked home. What an interesting day.
When I got to my room I just fell on the bed and fell asleep.
