or maybe like nico diangalo who tried to keep a cool face but was clearly failing?

how about annabeth chase who was trying to come up with a plan that won't kill everyone?

maybe percy jackson who was yelling in delight with a bright smile.

if not you're probably like [name] [lastname] who was cursing her heart out and had her eyes shut tightly.

she plummeted towards the valley and the red rocks below.

[name] was scared. out of everything she's ever done, falling like she was right now was the worst.

but she suddenly felt a hand grab tightly on hers.

"you're alright [name]!" percy tried to sound as calm as he could but it came out as yelling.

"i don't know about that!" she yelled back with frowned brows.

annabeth then yelled from somewhere above them, "spread your arms! keep them extended."

the two let each other's hand go to follow annabeth's direction.

the small part of [name]'s brain that wasn't engulfed in panic listened (which was a very small part), and her arms responded.

as soon as she spread them out, the wings stiffened, catching the wind and her descent slowed.

[name] soared downwards, but at a controlled angle, like a kite in a dive.

experimentally, she flapped her arms once. [name] arced into the sky, the wind whistling in her ears.

"yeah!" she heard percy yelled from next to her.

after getting the hang of it, [name] felt like the wings were part of her body. she could soar and swoop and dive anywhere she wanted to.

but she was still scared shit-less.

she turned and saw her friends – percy, rachel, annabeth and nico – spiralling above her, glinting in the sunlight.

behind them, smoke billowed from the windows of daedalus's workshop.

"land!" annabeth yelled. "these wings won't last forever."

"how long?" rachel cried.

"i don't want to find out!" annabeth said.

they swooped down towards the garden of the gods. [name] saw percy do a complete circle around one of the rock spires and freak out a couple of climbers which made her laugh.
