Jimin sighed heavily, his hands cradling his face bored. He knew he should take advantage of the lull in traffic they had to work on his schoolwork, especially his paper that was due next week, but he just didn't have the motivation to do it. All because of one Jeon Jungkook. Jimin glanced up at the door as if the thought alone would conjure Jungkook up and he'd walk through it wearing that stupid grin that Jimin has adored since the moment it was flashed at him two years ago.

Yep, two whole years have passed since Jimin had looked up from this very same counter he now sits behind to watch Jungkook walk through rkive's door. Don't get him wrong, a lot had changed between them since that initial encounter. But a lot had also not changed since that day. Jimin was still hopelessly in love with Jungkook while Jungkook saw Jimin as just his best friend. Jimin loved being Jungkook's best friend, but he wanted more than that. Had from the moment he set eyes on him which only intensified the more Jimin got to know Jungkook over these last two years. Jimin sighed again.

"I know that sigh." He heard come from his right.

Jimin didn't move except tilting his head in the direction of his O.G. best friend and still roommate Hoseok. Hoseok knew all about Jungkook from the moment Jimin walked into their shared apartment that very same day he'd met Jungkook. Okay burst into said apartment if Jimin were being honest. Hoseok also knew about Jimin's unrequited love for Jungkook.

"What happened this time?" Hoseok asked as he mirrored Jimin's stance at the counter.

"Oh, you know the usual. Nothing much just Jungkook being Jungkook." Jimin lamented.

Hoseok hummed waiting for Jimin to tell him exactly what happened which he knew Jimin would.

"I ran into Jungkook before my shift started when I was running through campus late from dance practice. You know because time got away from me."

"Naturally." Hoseok agreed since he understood better than anyone what Jimin was talking about since he two shared Jimin's major in dance.

"And do you know why I ran into him Hobi?" Jimin asked looking at him no longer leaning down at the counter but standing upright in irritation. "He was bringing me lunch. Lunch Hoseok. Because he knew I had a busy day and wouldn't have a chance to grab it otherwise." Jimin finished as if it were the worst thing in the world.

"How dare he!" Hoseok exclaimed dramatically to which Jimin gave him a cross look before Hoseok began to giggle.

"Hoseok." Jimin pouted. "It's not funny. He, he can't keep doing shit like this if I'm ever going to get over him."

"Jimin at this point I don't even know if that is possible." Namjoon spoke from behind the two of them.

"Don't talk to me mister, I have the perfect relationship." Jimin pouted further.

Jimin was plainly and simply jealous of the relationship that his boss/ friend had with his partner of a year and a half by the name of Seokjin. Just as Namjoon was witness to Jimin and his origin story with Jungkook. Jimin was witness to Namjoon's and Seokjin's.

Seokjin had waltzed into rkive exactly two months after Jungkook did (not that Jimin had been keeping track or anything) inquiring about the possibility of selling some of his pastries in Namjoon's cafe being that he was new to the area. Namjoon had agreed before even tasting anything Seokjin had to offer. Jimin watched the partnership from that day forward blossom into the sickeningly lovely romantic relationship the two now shared.

"Jimin, I don't understand why you don't just tell him that you have feelings for him." Namjoon stated as if that was the easiest thing in the world to do.
