Jimin stared down at his phone biting his bottom lip. He hadn't talked to Jungkook in two days. Not since what he overheard Jungkook say to Taehyung. Jimin, if he was honest with himself, didn't really want to talk to Jungkook. He was still hurt by the words he'd overheard. He knew that it was a long shot that Jungkook would ever return his feelings especially when not long ago he'd heard Jungkook say he didn't see him that way when Taehyung had asked. But hearing that Jungkook didn't care if Jimin dated someone else made that sentiment all too real. Jungkook returning his feelings was something that would just never happen. It was something he needed to accept. And just like he'd explained to Taemin, in his head he knew that, but in his heart, well, his heart just didn't want to accept it.
Regardless of how Jimin was feeling now, he needed to talk to Jungkook. He needed to find out if he was still going to shoot his choreography piece for his midterm submission which was due in a few days. If Jungkook said no, Jimin didn't even want to think about it.
Jimin sighed, steeling himself as he pressed the call button next to Jungkook's name. Jimin listened to the phone ring on the verge of hanging up when Jungkook answered.
"Jimin. I was just about to call you."
"Oh. Really?"
"Yeah. I know that your submission is due in a few days, and we hadn't recorded it yet and since I still need to edit it, I was going to see if you were free to do it tonight?"
"Okay. Yeah. That should be fine."
"You still want to do it outside right?"
"Yeah, if it's not too much trouble."
"It will be cold, but I know it is what you want."
Jimin smiled. He couldn't help it.
"I'll bring hot packs and hot cocoa."
"Deal."
The line remained silent for some minutes.
"Would 7 be an all-right time to meet at the park?"
"Yeah. That is perfect."
"Okay. I'll see you then."
With that Jungkook hung up and Jimin was left with the awkwardness of their call. It was so formal compared to how they usually were. Usually, their calls were full of laughter and banter. Jimin sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. He didn't have time to dwell on what was going on with him and Jungkook. He only had a couple hours till he had to meet Jungkook and needed to get ready.
Jimin got up from his bed where he was sitting and went to his closet and opened it. He riffled through it to the very end of it where he'd hung up his outfit to dance in. It was all white and loose fitting. He wanted the outfit to be as much a part of his performance as the swath of white fabric that he was going to be dancing with. He also hoped that nature would be on his side, and it would snow as well. It hadn't snowed yet despite the cold, but the forecast had stated it was likely to this week. It was the main reason that Jimin wanted to film it outside. He knew that the piece would look beautiful danced in the night with snow fluttering down around him.
Jimin draped the outfit across his bed and grabbed his suit bag and put it in there. Since the park they were going to shoot at was near rkive Jimin was going to change and do his make up there. He wanted to be warm for as long as he could since he was going to be dancing out in the cold for who knows how long.
Forty-five minutes later Jimin had everything he needed gathered in his duffel bag which was slung across his torso along with the garment bag his dance outfit was safely placed inside as he locked his door and headed to rkive.
