The Kingdom of Silla has always been in a staunch alliance with The Kingdom of Goguryeo. Aeri's mother, was the Princess of Goguryeo. Aeri;s worst fear was losing alliance with them, as the alliance felt like a spiritual connection and thank you to her mother Areum. However
However in the past, ever since Aeri's great great grandfather's time, there have been multiple attacks from the kingdom of Saebom. They've refused any kind of peace treaty or alliance, even by marriage.
They slaughtered thousands of each Kingdom unprovoked. Be that as it may, their number one target was always Silla, for no specific reason too. Many theorists believe it is because they are envious of the vast, Arcadian forests and the castle's beautiful landscape. Some say it was a love triangle between the King and Queen of Silla and the King of Saebom; little did they know this was the story of Silla and a different kingdom. The truth was never revealed nor made clear. But one thing is certain: they were, still are and forever will be blood thirsty bastards.
