SUNGHOON POV.

The same messenger kneeled before me once again, his gaze lowered and both hands extended outwards containing a scroll. He then proceeded to read out what was written:

To the Prince of Baekche,

Frankly speaking, your request is outrageous. I kindly request you to rethink anything else. I'm sure you have already understand my extreme disinterest in you. I hope you come to your senses.

My kingdom needs the alliance. So I would be ready to go to any measures, just not marriage or any kind of romantic relation.

From,
Queen of Silla,
Yi Aeri.

I chuckled at her desperation, it reeked through the letter. However, my head pondered over what to ask for. I could ask for her kingdom, however it's a pathetic attempt. Or I could alternatively ask to be the King of Silla; but I would be classed as 'illegitimate'. I was in a dilemma.

I thought for a few more minutes, the messenger patiently waiting for my response. An idea lit up. I can't believe I hadn't thought of this before...

"Tell your Queen that I want to be in charge of her army. I'll be made the General."

3RD PERSON POV.

As the messenger narrated Sunghoon's words, Aeri's disappointment grew larger. She scoffed at his greedy, arrogant request; at least it was better than having to be married to him.

"Well, what are your thoughts?" The Queen asked before her advisers, who also heard the Prince's request.

"Your Majesty, as absurd as his conditions may be, I doubt that he will harm us in any way. My reasoning has deduced that he has intense liking towards Your Highness and hurting you would hurt him twice as much as you. I believe he may be trustworthy. He is also well aware of your intense nature and strength, I'm sure he wouldn't dare test your patience or wrath." The Head Minister, Ju Yongsun, suggested.

They all agreed to allow Sunghoon to take control the army. However even though he wouldn't do anything to harm the army seeing as they would be in an alliance. However the thought of it still irked her. She did not trust him. At all.
