AT THE SUITING SESSION.

She was left speechless.

"I'll take my leave then, my love. I'm going to assume you don't want me here longer. But just wait until you see the gifts I got you." Sunghoon said before bowing and leaving with his guards.

The queen was shocked. Baffled, in fact. She ordered everyone out of the room and looked towards the abundance of gifts, pleasantly packaged, in the corner of the room. She got up and immediately opened them up, one by one.
As she opened them, there were endless pieces of gold and jewels.

"So he thinks I'm a gold digger. Pathetic." She said to herself whilst releasing a scoff.

She got to the last box. It was small and barely had any weight to it unlike the other large gifts. She tore away the paper to find a ring box and a letter placed inside.
It read:

To my future Queen,

I'm sure I caused an impression on you today, seeing as you're reading this letter. It's not like I planned what I was going to say to you, I'm going to choose what to say after I see you. I really do hope you're fun. The other princesses and queens all thrive off men and money.

And this gift is for when you accept my proposal. I have a feeling you're to my taste and I am to yours.

Your soon to be husband,
Prince of Baekche,
Park Sunghoon.

She rushed to the box and opened it. Finding a glistening purple sapphire ring. It was fancy and and elegant. However went against the traditions. Strangely, she liked it.

Aeri picked up the ring and gently slid it on to her ring finger. Perfect fit.

"The ring's a perfect fit but I don't think he is." Aeri said letting out a sigh.

That's when the door flung open to reveal him. Sunghoon was standing in the doorway and allowed himself in.

"Well well my love. I have a feeling you enjoyed my gifts, seeing as you've already tried it on." He boasted as he came closer to her. She got up from the ground and looked at him with an 'oh really?' look.

She stood there, partially stunned and partially impressed. Aeri saw him glancing at her hand with the ring on it. This was her chance to get him back.

"Hate to break it to you, but the ring's mine now. I can tell someone's getting jealous. And weren't you meant to leave by now?" She said proudly whilst raising an eyebrow at him.

"Not at all love. How could I leave when a particular Queen seems to be so eager to marry me." He replied, reaching for her hand and placing a small kiss on top, then leaving with a wink.

"So that's why you have the title of Pleaser." She scoffed back.

"He may be a pleaser to other women, but he will never please me," she thought to herself.
