CASTLE OF BAEKCHE.

Sunghoon stood before his father's throne, waiting for him to start talking. He was constantly sighing and his face was stone cold.

"Betray her," he had finally broke the silence and spoke. The boy looked at him with confusion and concern with what he had just said, even without knowing the context.

"I'm sorry, but betray who?"

"You know exactly who I'm talking about. Queen Aeri. I want you to make her fall in love- actually no, I want you to make her fall in such a deep love spell she would come running to you at any given moment and to the extent she would sacrifice herself for you. Then we attack her and take everything she owns; in alliance with Saebom. It's apart of the bigger picture my son."

Sunghoon's jaw dropped upon hearing what his father had just ordered him to do. He couldn't question why as it would be rude, but also because he knew the answer already.

Sunghoon's father had once been in love with Aeri's mother, with the main intention of taking over the kingdom. However Aeri's father had beat him to it. Ever since that day, Sunghoon's father has wanted to end Daesong and Areum's descendants and kingdom. At first, he wanted the Kingdom of Silla. But he grew to hate it and wanted to end it's every remnant.

He never fully understood his father's reasoning as to why he would go so far for a woman who is dead. Though it may have been love, did he not move on and love his mother? Or was she too a piece in his game to expand his army? Who knows.

The young soldier didn't utter another word, he simply left the room after bowing to his father and dreaded the guilt he was soon to overcome.

He knew that he could never betray his father, after all, he is all that he is today thanks to him. He knew he wasn't worth telling your secrets too, but the boy refused to believe he was just simply untrustworthy. Running his fingers through his locks, he swung the doors open to his balcony, staring at the foggy abyss ahead. He could see the tops of Aeri's castle from his room, and he wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

His mind diverted to what was below him, the rest of his kingdom. All of the kingdoms had the main castle in the middle, follow by the kingdom circled around it, with a tall stone wall for reinforcement.

He admired how bustling yet organised the kingdom was.

"Can't wait to be the one who takes over you someday," Sunghoon exclaimed whilst a small smile appeared on his face.
