"Pathetic. I pity you. Always letting your greed get the better of you. Just know my son, I'll never be proud of you until you remove your selfish heart and replace it with a loving one."
His father's words echoed endlessly in his ears. He sat on the balcony railing, his eyes stung.
A golden coin slowing dripping in the sky, illuminating its flaming, orange haze. His hazel eyes glued onto the sky and the clouds, his vision was blurred by tears but he kept himself strong and sucked it all in. After all, he had a reputation to keep, he was king.
Daesong, a man of unknown background who married a princess, was the most powerful man of the country and had everyone on their knees before him. Almost like an unknown commoner who raised to the highest status.
Such a rotten man was loved by the kingdom. He did not have the most powerful kingdom, but had the ego of the most powerful. The Queen was a sweet, graceful woman. She treasured life's littlest treasures that the world brought to her. Despite disagreeing with her husband's opinions often, she loved him more than herself. She felt unable to breathe when he was not near, his pain was double to her and so was his sadness and his happiness. When he smiled, she laughed. When he cried, she wailed. When he was hurt, she died. His eyes fuelled her with an endless supply of joy and admiration. His hazel eyes held her world in them.
