Mitsuki stands at the window of her home awaiting the arrival of her son and son-in-law who was more son than not.
She isn't sure what this visit entails, only that Katsuki said on the phone that they would be dropping by later because Izuku wanted to talk to her.
The blonde woman absentmindly plays with a horseshoe charm on a necklace around her neck, one that belonged to her bestfriend who's no longer with her. Her mind drifts wondering what Izuku could want or need.
She had made Inko a promise long ago that she would always take care of the green eyed boy if anything ever happened, the promise was also made on the reverse side that Inko would be the one to look after Katsuki if it had been Mitsuki taken, but it hadn't been Mitsuki, and Izuku was then and is now another son, one she loves just as much as her loud, rough around the edges blonde one.
She's so lost in thought she hardly hears the door open until that mouthy boy of hers announces his presence.
" Oi! We're here! What the hell are you looking at Hag, you spying on the damn neighbors?", he askd with a smirk getting an annoyed eye roll from his mother.
" Shut up Brat, I'll do what I want in my damn house and get over here and give me a hug"
He scowls but does it wrapping her in a hug before she pulls back and smacks him harshly on the shoulder.
" Ow! The fuck was that for?!", he snaps at her.
" And just where the hell have you been?! I haven't seen you in almost three weeks and why are you keeping my Izuku away from me ? You have always loved to hog him all for yourself Katsuki and I'm..."
She stops her scolding as soon as jade eyes and a wide pretty smile walk through the front door.
" Hi Mom"
A large smile forms on the stren face of Mitsuki.
" Izuku! Hi Runt, get in here and give me a hug sweetheart."
He steps forward wrapping both arms around her tightly smiling at the embrace of the woman who had always been like a second mother and even more so after he lost his own, she had stepped in and loved him in every way a mother could.
Katsuki rolls his eyes crossing his arms.
" How come you never yell at him huh? Was the same when we were brats, we'd both get into the same God damn trouble but I'd get yelled at and Deku wouldn't"
Mitsuki meets his eye after she let's Izuku go.
" Because the only reason he'd get in trouble in the first place was because he followed you every place and did whatever you did and you would throw an actual temper tantrum if anyone even looked at Izuku wrong let alone yell at him"
Katsuki smirks because that was true, Izuku had always been right next to him because the greenett had always thought everything the blonde did was amazing, not much has changed in that area or in the area of Katsuki being super overprotective and not allowing anyone to do much as raise their voice to the greenett without a life threatening death glare.
" I actually think the real reason is you love him more than you do me", the blonde says with a smirk and a wink to his husband getting a giggle in return.
" That's not true Katsuki, I love you both he's just sweeter and cuter", she teases as she pinches Izuku's cheek.
He grins at her then sticks his tongue out at the firey blonde playfully as Mitsuki drags him into the kitchen by the hand.
Katsuki rolls his eyes with a chuckle following behind them.
After her boys are seated and each have drink and snacks Mitsuki sits across from them and prepares for whatever is going to be said.
