It's been almost three weeks since Izuku's been in America training. He spends hours working King into pristine riding condition, then washes and grooms him till his coat gleams a bright firey red. The hours not spent out in the ring or on the course Izuku spends working out in the gym with Kirishima helping him along with his training, needless to say both the greenett and his faithful horse are in peak impressive condition.
Kirishima sits on a white rail fence watching his friend take a course full of jumps making it look so effortless. He grins with pride as he whistles and claps cheering one of his closest friends on.
" Look at you man! You totally got this thing wrapped up! Alright Mido! Fricking perfect bro! You are gonna blow this thing out of the water!", he yells out.
Izuku smiles to himself, hearing the distant sound of his always supportive friend who has been cheering him on from the start.
Kirishima is busy with a big grin as he videos the greenett during his training. It's something he tries to do daily so that he can send them all to a blonde back home who awaits each one and watches it several times over with pride and an aching heart.
There is a voice suddenly next to the redhead.
" He's very impressive. A friend of yours I take it?"
Kiri turns his attention to the voice, looking down from his spot on the fence to see a guy he's never seen. He raises an inquisitive brow at this stranger, unsure of who exactly this guy is.
" Yeah, he's a friend of mine. Who are you?",he asked with a serious expression. He was sent to keep an eye on Izuku just like his best friend would and he's taking that task seriously, all the way till the end.
He watches the male smile.
" My apologies. I'm a trainer for another professional riding team. My name is James Logan, I come here sometimes to scout riders."
Kiri nods, his eyes still serious.
" That's Izuku Bakugo, his father is Aizawa."
The male looks surprised while he snaps his attention back to the rider on the course.
" Oh my goodness, I couldn't tell that was him under his helmet! I'm a big fan, his father is one of the reasons I got into horses. I was actually pretty bummed out when I had heard Izuku retired from the sport, I really enjoyed watching him compete. I heard he was going to ride again, even though it's super to be his last I really hope it isn't. He's amazing."
Kirishima smiles finally, his sights shifting out to his friend on the course.
" Yeah man, he's definitely amazing, but this will be his last ride for sure. He honestly didn't even want to come back to do this one, but he also didn't want his name drug through the mud by that no good cheating prick, so he's back to prove what everyone should already know, that he's superior in every way.", the redhead says with pride and confidence.
The male smiles with a chuckle.
" When you say prick I'm guessing you mean Monoma?"
Kirishima grins.
" So you know him?"
The male chuckles deeply.
" Yes, unfortunately. I don't think Izuku has anything to worry about though, he's miles ahead of Monoma as an athlete, there's really no comparison between the two. I heard about him calling Izuku out of retirement, that was a foolish move on his part."
The redhead nods.
" Stupid is more like it man. That jackass does stand a chance against Mido out there. I can't wait to watch Izuku run his smug face into the ground, it's gonna be epic."
