It's well into the next day when Izuku sits on a pasture fence watching King graze carefree in the green grass. He's in a mood, one that's a mix of many different kinds. He's tired, not sleeping well for days taking its toll on his mind and body. He's frustrated because he should be on King training not watching him from the fence but he made a promise to Kirishima that he would sit this one out even if he doesn't want to.

His body hurts, the ankle injury he suffered weeks ago and the huge bruised area on his lower back feel like they did the day he received them. He knows he's not healing properly due to his lack of sleep and the fact that he hardly eats. His nutrition and body are suffering along with his mental health which went down the drain pretty much as soon as he left Katsuki's side.

He closes his eyes for a moment feeling the sun on his skin which offers little relief from the twisted state he's in.

A tired mind begins to wander with the thought of the crimson eyes of his husband. There's an ache in his chest, one he knows is there because of how desperately he misses Katsuki and one that is there because he's been lying to the most important person in his life, telling the blonde that he's fine when he's anything but and making any excuses he can think of to try and cover the truth of just how bad things have gotten. His stomach begins to churn, half from lack of food and half because of his dishonesty to his husband.

Lying to that blonde bomb has never gone over well. He remembers a time in their teen years when he found that out that hard way.

It was senior year and Katsuki was at football practice while Izuku had been studying in the library. There was a bully that Izuku had been having some issues with one that he tried to keep a secret, not wanting the blonde to get in a fight. That evening when he had left the school library to head home he ran into that bully who had roughed him up and took his written essay along with the money in his wallet. Later that night when Katsuki had come over after practice he had of course immediately noticed a bruise on his boyfriend's cheek.

"Deku, what the fuck happened to you?! I thought you were at the damn library. How'd you get this?!"

Izuku smiled nervously as he chewed his bottom lip while trying not to look right into crimson eyes that were starting at him with intensity.

" Oh ..it's.. it's nothing Kacchan. When I was leaving I was distracted and didn't notice when someone was coming in the door I was coming out of, it smacked my cheek pretty hard, it was just a clumsy mistake on my part.", he tried to cover.

He could feel just by the way Katsuki was looking at him that he didn't believe it, just by the way those striking crimson eyes felt as they grazed over his skin questionably, that his blonde bomb doubted every word, something that intensifies when Izuku had sat down at his desk to write his stolen paper.. again.

Katsuki stood behind his chair with arms crossed.

" Oi, why you just starting on that shit? I thought that's what you went to the library for in the first place? When I called on from practice you told me you were almost finished."

Izuku didn't want to turn around but he knows he had visibly cringed at the words just spoken. He tried his best to stumble through another lie.

" I just..I just didn't like the way it turned out so....so I decided to start it over that's all. You know me and how I don't like when a paper isn't just right.", he laughed nervously
