* Smut *
Katsuki stands at the stove in the apartment he shares with his husband making dinner. They got home not long ago Izuku is in the bedroom changing while the blonde makes something to eat.
His thoughts aren't on the food he's preparing but they are on jade eyes that he knows will be leaving him by sunrise. When Izuku left for the first race it was hard on them both, now married and knowing it'll be longer it feels like the weight of the world is pulling on them both.
As he's lost in thought he feels arms wrap around his torso from behind and a soft cheek rest against his back. It makes him smile immediately, the scent of green apple and rain hitting his senses. He wraps a strong hand around his husband's wrist as they stand there.
" You ok Deku?"
He ask the question gently, a question he knows the answer to. Izuku is not ok and he isn't either.
There's a slight head shake of no against his back and a small muffled voice.
"No, not really."
Katsuki turns around slowly pulling his husband tightly into his arms with a sigh.
" Yeah I know, me either."
Izuku looks up into strong crimson eyes while he chews his bottom lip with glassy eyes. The sight making a strong blonde feel weak.
He reaches up slowly pulling thar bottom lip from between his husband's teeth, running his thumb over the raw skin.
" Stop doing this shit, I tell you that all the time. I don't like it. I never have."
He has told him that hundreds of times. His mind shifts back to when they were younger.
Izuku was six, Katsuki seven. There was a bad thunderstorm outside and the two had been at the greenett's house when the power went out from the heavy wind and rain. Izuku had immediately shot under his blanket from fear with a noisy blonde boy right beside him. The greenett was scared, shaky, crewing his bottom lip nonstop. Katsuki had a book and a flash light as he tried his best to calm his nervous best friend.
" It's alright Deku. It's only a crummy storm."
Worried green eyes looked at his friend who never seemed scared of anything.
"B-but the lights went out and the noise is s-scary"
Young Katsuki gave him a look of defiance.
" The lights went out cause of the stupid wind thats all, and you're inside with me and I sure ain't gonna let some dumb storm hurt you."
The little greenett nodded beside his best friend, still chewing at his lip. Crimson eyes studied him closely.
The blonde frowns reaching over with a small hand slowly pulling his lip from between his teeth making small green eyes look at him.
" Stop doin' that. I don't like it."
A small green brow raises.
" Why don't you like it?" , the greenett questions.
Katsuki gently touches the sensitive skin with the tip of his small finger.
"Cause it looks like it hurts and I don't like when my Deku is hurt, now let's forget about this stupid storm and I'll read you a story. Look! This one has knights in it that ride on cool white horses, I thought you'd like it!", he says with a grin as he opens the pages.
