And as I said it, I had hoped it to be over there and then, or at least not to be the talk of the century.

I couldn't be more wrong.

In less than two days, every single girl in the class knew about it, and suddenly, I was all they could talk about. Suddenly, my love life had become the national tension of the class.

It was only a matter of time before the boys found out.

Crap.

"Hey Ariana!" Came the voice of Samantha. She smiled at me mischievously as I made my way into the class two days later. I was ready to greet back when her next words had me dumbstruck.

"Or should I say, Mrs Brooke?"

What...the actual fu-

"Sam!" I whisper yelled, quickly making my way to her before the remaining students could hear her. But all she did was giggle. "Wh-you- why- uh-"

I was baffled. I had no idea what to say. To think that this news could trigger a person like Samantha, the nerd of the class to break her boundaries and come and tease me only meant that the rest of them would chew me alive.

Why on earth was my love life such a big deal? So much that people I never spoke to were now trying to talk to me.

Because as a matter of fact, Samantha wasn't the last of them. Once the class began to fill, I received smirks and mischievous smiles and wriggling eyebrows and howling and what not.

I should have been angry with Nat and Riley, but mostly, I was in disbelief.

Why would you tell everyone?

The question remained stuck in my head all through the time until Nat and Riley showed up, and one look at my face and they were already rushing to me with their hands raised up.

"We can explain." Nat said, but all I did was stare at her. Taking in my silence, she began. "We did not tell anyone, if that is what you are thinking. Someone eavesdropped on our conversation."

Why does it sound so farfetched?

"You mean they heard me say I like Stefen?" I asked, but the look they shared said something more. So Riley filled in. "That, and before that."

What?

"Someone heard us confronting you that day, back in religious class, when I said I thought Stefen liked you."

Uh...oh.

The moment the words left her lips, my own lips parted in surprise, but no words came out, so Riley nodded her head. "Yeah, I know. It's pretty messed up but that wasn't the only reason."

"What else?" I couldn't help but sigh in frustration, this whole issue making me feel like I was a lab rat under examination, and everyone was just testing me.
